Bunk Bed Standard How-to Book; Paper Pattern Plan to DIY and Easily Build Any Size Bed

We purchased these plans to build a queen over queen for our vacation home. The images are pretty grainy but the step-by-step instructions are clear and easy to follow. We even modified some of the lengths to provide additional clearance under the bed for storage (it's a vaulted ceiling), and it all came together beautifully. I was actually surprised at how quickly we were able to assemble the bed (we did all the wood prep over weeks, cutting and then sanding and staining over the course of about 3 weeks). It is a lengthy process but anything that is worth keeping is going to take a while--this is no IKEA bed. Our bed turned out beautifully and very sturdy--the kids love sleeping on the top and the lower bunk is like a comfy canopy bed! What a fantastic deal to construct your own (at the time of this writing, lumber prices are pretty high so it cost us about $300 for all the wood and screws)

I wanted queen bunk beds but could not find any for less than $1,000. These plans were extremely easy to follow. I made two sets for our cottage. My kids love them. They are very sturdy and cost less than $200 each to make.

Some of the pages we're blown up so big you could tell not all of the words were on the page. I would recommend to someone who wants to sort through papers all day. if I were going to build a bunk bed again i'd do it the way I did just serf the web looking at pictures and finally came up with what I wanted

Love my queen bunk bed it's way sturdier than anything you can buy and cost about $200 in supplies. Would definitely buy plans from them again

The plans were very weak. I realized after I had the bunks fully assembled that all the measurements are for a extra long bunk mattress. The plans did not explain this anywhere on the cover or bill of materials page. I had to disassemble the beds and shorten them to make them look good with a regular mattress.

the plans came quickly. they were easy to follow for someone who has basic woodworking skills and tools. they were just as advertised.
