This is a great reusable nail file. I hate buying emory boards that are cheap and don't do a great job of getting rid of the nasty little snags my nails get when they split at the ends. This files them nicely and seals them so they don't continue splitting. I've had these for approximately 6 months and they are all holding up great. I gave 2 to roommates and kept one for myself. I would give this 4 1/2 stars if possible, because you have to be careful when you are cleaning or using this if your hands are wet because the color at the end of the handle and the on the case will bleed. I would suggest using a paper towel or a towel or washcloth that you don't mind getting stained when cleaning. It will also stain your hands if they are wet when you are using (i.e., after a shower). A little soap and baking soda got it off my hands and a magic eraser will get it off the counter. Just thought I'd give you fair warning, but I would purchase again for a gift or stocking stuffer since it holds up well and does an excellent job on your nails!!

These are seriously life-changing. I know it sounds stupid but I've been using these for a long time and I wouldn't spend my money on any other brand of file. The other ones might look exactly the same but if they don't have that Bona Fide sticker, I'm NOT interested.Don't be a cheap ass and go for the one that's $2 less. Buy the Bona Fide files. They are way better than the other ones. The grit is absolutely perfect and never dulls. The other brands (not authentic czech glass) will not file cleanly like these will. Easy to use, rinse off, let dry, and you're good to go. I have recently bought the black ones which have a teeny bit less grit ('finer' is the correct term I think?) Seriously, you will be disappointed if you buy the cheaper ones. The difference can be felt immediately from the subpar files, and over a short period of time, they lose the grit. These NEVER deteriorate. I've been buying these particular files for years. I bought one at a arts and wine festival over 15 years ago and I coveted that thing. It finally broke after I sat on it at just the right/wrong angle and I was heartbroken. Somehow I found these (might have been eBay at first) and I haven't looked back. I buy these for all my friends and every coworker I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and just buy the multi-pack because they're less expensive and you'll have extras.

I love the way I can smooth away snagged, chipped and broken nails. I have thin nails so I have a hard time saving them. This file smooths edges of my nail. Nice to have a protective carrier, so I can just throw it in my bag and go.

Love them! Nails seem to be peeling and breaking less. Note, only file in 1 direction. A little thick for getting under nail, probably because it's glass, but can be done.

I have very fragile nails and have found that these nail files, are the only ones that will not damage them, when I file the...I've bought them twice already and people keep taking them from me...Will be buying two more sets soon...I'm not sure what the grit number is, but it's perfect for fragile nails...Hope this company never stops making them...

The nail files are very gentle on the nails, and it doesn't take long to shape them or smooth them out. This is my second set - my friends loved the first set so much, 2 of the 3 ended up as gifts to them. I'm hoarding these 3 :)

At first, I didn't think they were course enough to do much good, but they certainly do the job! They file quickly and smooth rough edges nicely.
