Yes. This wall protectors can perfectly work on a finished drywall. It requires three elements to make a strong adhesive on the wall: Dry, well finished and no dust&dirt. Any wall surface has these elements can let the wall protectors stay on it firmly.

Q: Is the total length of the item (two pack) 2m or 4m?

There are two pieces of 2000x200x6.5mm garage wall protectors included. The total length could be 4 meters if you connect the ends of the two pieces.

Q: Would this be OK to use as falling egg buffer

I've never tried dropping an egg on it but although several layers would add some protection probably not 100% safety. I use it on my garage wall to protect the edge of my car door and it works fine.

Yes it would stick to the stable wall. I would ensure you do not over stretch it as you install.
