Both my husband and I have severe allergies. My worst allergy by far is dust/dust mite. We were in the market to replace our older mattress protector because it developed a few tears. We chose the Sky Bedding mattress protector based on the content of the reviews ans are very pleased. This mattress protector is nice, smooth, and seems very durable. Although our old one was not vinyl, it actually creaked when we would lay down. I think the fibers were coming apart. This one is made different, where our old one was rather bulky, this one is smooth. I washed it before putting it on our mattress and was pleased with how it washed up. I no longer wake up with puffy eyes and a headache since I put this mattress cover on. This mattress protector seems like it will last many years. If you are allergic to dust, I highly recommend this mattress protector.

I've tried many other mattress protectors before sky. They've either sounded like plastic when I move, made me sweat, not fit around my mattress well, torn, washed poorly. .. the one from sky I have on 2 other beds also and the things I like most about the product that keeps my loyalty to the brand, is the all around elastic. It doesn't come off my mattresses even when my 4 year old wrestles and jumps on it. It fits small and large mattresses, mine is 20". It does not feel like you have a protector under your sheets at all nor does it make me sweat. We sleep very comfortably. It washes very well! I wash warm dry low. Of the 3 i have, none have frayed or melted in the dryer or torn from use. It's also great as a barrier to keep the mattress dry from spills and potty accidents. We have been through a lot of life stages with these protectors and have not had to replace the sky ones since we purchased them. Can't say that for a few that were more expensive than these. For the price and durability, it's a steal!

I was very skeptical when I first got this in. The product is VERY loud when moved/rubbed, and the terry cloth top isn't exactly soft. The sides are super stretchy and didn't seem like the product would stay put. The product stood up to washing and drying on low heat. There was no bad odor to the product when I opened it.I just now received my mattress, and I was very surprised when I put it on that it fit very well. I slept on it, and the protector didn't move at all, nor did it hinder the fitted sheet in staying on the bed. I also didn't notice any loud sounds when I moved like I was expecting. So far the "protector" part hasn't been tested, but it seems like it will definitely hold up. Overall very happy with the purchase.EDIT 5/27/16:The unit was finally tested on the "protection" factor after a pet accident. I was very pleased to find that my mattress was 100% dry and clean underneath the protector! I have increased my rating from 4 to 5 stars.

Mattresses are expensive so I wanted a quality mattress protector. I had shopped for one at the neighborhood stores but did not find what I was looking for. On Amazon, I found it in the Sky Bedding Mattress Protector. As soon as I took it out of the package I knew I made the right choice. It is well constructed, soft and not bulky. After an easy wash, putting it on our king size bed was so easy because they conctructed it so you don't have to fight to put it on the mattress. Slips on like a glove! Above all, I find great comfort because it is hypoallergenic and waterproof without that cheap, icky vinyl. I highly recommend this to everyone who is looking for a quality product to protect their expensive investment. To top it off, it is a great price.

These mattress pads are on all of our beds, and I started using this style back when the kids were babies and hung out on our bed in diapers and with sippy cups and random spit-up moments. They're teenagers now, and it protects the mattress from random beverage spills and no telling what else. I buy a mattress because I like the mattress, and this pad is thin and doesn't change the feel of it, and it doesn't make us sleep hot. A bonus is that the terry cloth cover keeps the sheets in place and that's probably my favorite thing about it. It's kind of a pain to wash because you have to rearrange it and spin it about 4 times to get the water out before putting it in the dryer, but that's pretty par for the course with a waterproof mattress pad. The original one on my bed wore out a after about 10 years, but I think that's pretty good and. I was happy to buy another and hope it holds up as long.

Wasn't sure at first if this was 100% water proof but I am now. I recently bought a new foam mattress for my disabled son who has seizures and sometimes loses his bodily functions during them. I wanted to protect the mattress just in case so I purchased this protector. The same night I put this on his mattress sure enough he had a seizure and wet the bed, and to my surprise it didn't soak through to the mattress, not even damp. I placed it in the wash and it came out fine. It didn't interfere with the memory foam mattress abilities because stretches with it, which is why I'm so amazed that it was still waterproof. It doesn't shift, bulk up or move around like some protectors. It will accommodate most any height mattress.
