NauticaMen's Short Sleeve Solid Cotton Pique Polo Shirt

This is a little brighter green than expected (see picture attached of the shirt next to the one we were trying to replace). The description said ash, which to me means a more muted mint/sage green, which is what we were looking for. Still, it's a nice shirt and good quality so far. We kept it.

Ordered a large, but, looked like a medium.

Every couple of years I attempt to find a replacement for my Izod and Dockers polos that are twenty years old and are starting to get threadbare. Just plain Navy and Maroon and breathable knit 100% cotton that does not ride up. What all of you are looking for and not finding. There are oddball colors and tricky wording that you know mean: "don't 'buy". Until this year, I just again gave up. Well, I had high expectations for this shirt and had hoped to buy a half dozen and be done for my remaining senior citizen years. Wrong.After one washing with cold water and dry on warm, the "Large" shrunk to where it was tight on my trim frame that has always fit a Large for 50 years. And when I lift my arms even part way, the shirt rides up because there is none or not enough shaping around the armpits to allow any arm motion. Made just like the cheaper T shirts that do the same thing. I guarantee they save a few cents each in cloth and sewing to make them flat. I have not worn it yet, but I also have the suspicion that it will be hot. The "Pique" weave appears tighter than my (old) Izods and that will make the shirt too hot as well. Look elsewhere, like me, and not find. Cheap foreign manufacturing rules today, not the product we actually want.

Usually Nautica shirts fits on me very well, this shirt specifically is to short.
