Ibn Al-Baitar: Doctor of Natural Medicine (Muslim Scientists)

I bought this little book for my 5 years old, and she loved it! We discovered this amazing man that I never heard about! This collection is great (We owned another one). It’s very well explained and so interesting! I love the little du3a at the end.

I was excited about this book and the other books in this series until I realized everyone in the book was presented as civilized except the African who was literally in the jungle with a spear. So… instead of teaching the children about the golden age of Islam I will be teaching them about the subtle and not so subtle racism that pervades the Islamic world. Smh…
