BUTTONED DOWN Men's Classic Fit Spread-Collar Non-Iron Dress Shirt, Berry/Red/Navy Tattersall Micro Check, 14.5" Neck 32" Sleeve

I purchased a few of these because I recently started a new job and needed new "work" dress shirts (as opposed to "fancy" dress shirts for special occasions like weddings). My go-to dress shirts are usually Stafford (found at most Macys and Sears stores) but I saw a few promising reviews and decided to take the plunge. Right out of the bag, I feel in love with the feel of the shirt. It was very soft to the touch. I also really liked being able to pick what kind of collar it came with. Also the option of pocket/no pocket was nice (I went with pocket since I don't always wear my sports coat at work and I always like having a pen or two handy). Just a few tips here that could make a difference in your shopping experience: measure yourself for the dress shirt even if you wear them regularly (in my case, I had gained weight since my wedding so it was a good idea). You can find a tutorial that can show you how to properly measure yourself (paying careful attention to sleeve length). Also make sure you chose the right "fit" be it a slim or classic. It makes a huge difference in comfort. Not for nothing but invest in some ties from this same brand if you can afford it.

I ordered the regular fit of this shirt, and separately a "Madison" fit shirt from Brooks Brothers. The "Madison" is the 3rd largest of the 4 fits by Brooks Brothers (Slim, Regent, Madison, Regular). This shirt that I'm reviewing was noticeably more fitted than the Brooks Brothers shirt even though this is their "Classic" fit (i.e. largest / least fitted). I have not tried their "Slim" or "Fitted" shirts but any more fitted and it would be too small for me (I'm shirt size 17 1/2 x 34).I prefer the more fitted shirt so I'll keep this one and return the Brooks Brothers one, but others ordering should be aware that these shirts are apparently pretty trim/fitted.The material is slightly thicker and coarser than the Brooks Brothers shirts, which is probably a matter of taste, I prefer more lightweight materials but this one is ok for me.The pattern is exactly as it appears in the picture.

These go up and down on sale. They wash fine, they iron fine. CHECK the instructions, cold wash and cool dry, don't wash with things that are not colorfast which you should never wash fabrics that bleed with anything else anyways. Haven't used stain removers on them yet.I am very tall and the sleeves are plenty long enough, they are true to size. Neck is true to size. I'm also a big guy and these aren't "slim fit" which, if your neck size is 20 and your sleeve size is 38/39 then you ain't skinny so WTF do shirtmakers think us big guys need "slim fit" anything? This one also doesn't balloon out either, I have a belly but nothing is tight. I have big arms but not body builder size and these are roomy enough, they aren't tight in the armpit either. Wrists aren't too big or too tight when you button them.My only complaint is the shirt could be about 2 inches longer front and tails. But I am really tall and long waisted so that's a complaint with any and every shirt. This is actual, true tall size. Most big tall is a scam, they add half an inch to the tails and jack the price up 20 percent. This is almost as long as older RLPolo tall sizes (in about 2017 RL changed their form and their shirts are about an inch shorter) so if you buy RL Polo tall size then this will feel a little bit less but still a good buy.Regular price is 55 bucks but most of these go on and off sale, I have not figured out what algorithm Amazon uses to decide price. I can get these from 12 - 25 bucks if I put them on a list and check the list each and every day. Which is what you should do for basically anything online if you can wait and don't need something right now. It's worth 55 bucks - full price. It's especially worth it when it drops to half that much. Five stars except I wish the tails were 2 inches longer.

I bought this shirt to cut it up for fabric use. Yes, weird but true. I almost did not but didn't know anyone it would fit - this shirt is lovely - the quality of the fabric and the finishing is very excellent. Now days you do not expect that - I washed it and it came out totally wrinkle free from the dryer despite it being all cotton. I would recommend any man buy one and see how you like it - my men were impressed - a son and hubby liked the feel of this but the size I bought on purpose didn't fit anyone here. I needed just this fabric - a tiny plaid in the Glen family of plaids, for a project I am sewing. :) The shirt has extra buttons, buttons on the sleeve placket as well as buttoned cuffs and a lovely collar with stays in there already. Very impressive for these times.

Purchased four different "Button Down Brand" long sleeve shirts all sold as 34" sleeve length. None are 34". 3 were 33" or slightly less, and the 4th was between 33" and 34". Since my arm length is precisely 34" these fit very short and end at my wristwatch instead of at the break of the wrist which I prefer. I really miss Nordstrom dress shirts which were also sold in single sleeve lengths but were manufactured to a tighter spec.

I normally order a 14 ½ with 34" sleeves, but this time I went with a 15 with 34" sleeves. The sleeves are OK (barely), but the size is too tight, even though I've never gone to a 15. This material is quite lightweight, which makes it all the more form-fitting. So make sure your form is fit before draping it with one of these. I suggest at least one whole size larger than your usual size--and possibly another half size beyond that. Wish I'd tried a 15 ½ with 34 ½" in the sleeve--or 16 X 35.. If I hadn't gotten such a good deal on the shirt, I'd return it. Instead, I'm tellling myself--another 20 mins daily on he treadmill and it'll work out. (That'll be a first.)

The material is nice and the quality was as I expected for the price. Unfortunately the length of the shirts is quite short - particularly in the tail length. I offered a 36" sleeve which is almost always good for me when buying other brands like Van Heusen or Joseph A Banks but these are at least two inches too short at the waist. I'd have to order at least a 38 but fear that the sleeve would be way too long.

La camisa queda perfectamente sabiendo las medidas de cuello y manga. Su acabado es mejor que otras de la misma marca de tipo más informal, se puede usar con corbata y la tela permite plancharla rápidamente, además de que es muy resistente a las arrugas si se siguen las instrucciones del fabricante. Definitivamente compraré otra porque la tela es además fresca y cómoda, no le pide nada a otras marcas más reconocidas. El color es justo como se mostraba en la página y llegó a tiempo en perfectas condiciones. Es un gran producto.

I decided to buy two of the Buttoned Down shirts to check out their quality and fit. I bought one in classic fit, and the other in tailored. I'm 6'1" with a reasonably fit body. For quality, these are really nice shirts. The cotton is soft to the touch, and definitely representative of a supima cotton shirt. The colours are bright and vibrant, and the shirt collars are a nice length (although they could be just a little longer. Of the two sizes, however, I like the fit of the classic over the tailored. I found the tailored was just a little too tight when wearing an undershirt. Nevertheless, I kept both shirts.

I have long arms and am tall. I'm by no means thin, but my options for long sleeves are either get something that fits my body with sleeves that stop at my elbows, or get sleeves that fit with a tarp over my body. This shirt is the latter for me, but at least I can get it tailored to take it in. Material is nice. Feels nice and durable.

Me quedó un poco grande pero no pasa nada ya que uso saco, y fue mi error que calculé mal las medidas pero es una camisa muy hermosa, me la quedaré.

Shirt was all crumpled up and when I looked closer the sleeves were rolled up, something was melted in the pocket and it smelled like aftershave.
