You Can't Always Trust Negative Reviews
Yes its possible that some people get bad bits and tools in general from time to time. But you have to factor in whether or not that person is capable of using said item properly, a lot of people are not, so I usually take a risk on poorly rated items if they look to be well built. Most of the time I find that the items are satisfactory as is with this bit. The holes are flat, the holes are cut clean, what more can you ask from a forstner bit. The head's design doesn't lend itself to cutting holes at an angle but still doable with a little more patience.

Precise & Sharp - Great value!
Clean sharp edges, no splintering or tearing even in end grain. Runs as true as my more expensive bits. I would buy again if I needed it. Thankfully, this still cuts like new even after boring many, many deep holes in hardwoods.

Works well with no issues
Great for a small Forster bit. Cut well.
User
Sharp, sturdy, and straight.
I was not careful enough, and a metal part of the vice holding the wood was right below the 3/4โ MDF I was drilling using my drill press. I drilled into the vice, creating a hole. I have no doubt that this has shortened the life of this drill bit, but I have not yet seen any adverse effects - it still cuts clean holes in MDF. The bit is absolutely straight, and there is no wobble.

Good sharp bit
This was a nice sharp bit.

Solid bit
Has a solid, premium feel to it. It cuts really well. 1 star deduction for not engraving the max rpm which is very important for forstner bits (~1000 rpm for the 30mm). Would buy again.

Great for what I used it for
I don't know a fostner bit from a bit-a-honey, but I needed a 10mm bit to drill larger holes in guitar headstocks without damaging the headstock and leaving a clean hole. This is difficult with regular bits as there is already a smaller diameter hole there and other bits had issues with this. Just drilled out a headstock and the holes are clean and look good - installed the hipshot locking tuners perfectly in them. Worked well for me!!
User
not very long lasting
High expectations for this bit with all the good reviews, yet after making 8 holes through a combination of 1/8" masonite and 3/4" MDF, the bit has lost all sharpness and started to smoke when going through the 9th hole. The only positive is the bit is true and doesn't have any wobble. Would not recommend this bit.
