An excellent resource but with some missing info
I thoroughly read the entire book. One shortcoming is the material is a lot about himself, almost making this book an autobiography. He overemphasizes his own research on Leech Therapy. Since the author is researcher as well, I would think he would refer the research of Dr. C. B. Esselstyin who was way before Dr. Dean Ornish. The book could have included an Appendix of all herbal supplements available in most drug or nutrition supplement stores with one or two line description of pluses and minuses. Most recommendations are standard for people like me but may be new to others.

A blueprint for health and wellbeing
The Nature Cure is a wonderful guide to anyone searching for cutting-edge information about natural ways of healing that they can put into practice at home. The book ties together modern and ancient healing traditions from around the world--from Traditional Chinese Medicine to Ayurveda to the German tradition of water healing--explaining the science behind these different techniques and how to apply them in our everyday lives to treat everything from diabetes to heart diseases to digestive disorders and more. Timely and compelling.

Science and Tradition
A wonderful and informative book that describes where and how traditional medicine fits in our modern scientific and pharmaceutical focused world of health management. The author has the professional credentials to accurately evaluate and share how many now out of favor treatments, such as fasting and cupping, provide demonstrably positive results in many instances. An eye-opener and interesting book for anyone interested in health and positive living.

Practical guide for better health
This was a great read. I enjoyed learning more about natural ways of preventing and healing various types of illnesses and disease, and I appreciated the studies and examples Dr. Michalsen shared throughout the book. If you have an interest in natural medicine or the power of diet to improve your health, I recommend adding this book to your reading list.

Excellent book on healthy living without the agendas
Probably one of the best books on health, nutrition and lifestyle I’ve read. I enjoyed how concise and straight to the point it was. No specific agenda other than minimizing disease, which was refreshing.
