Melindas Sauce Hot

I like all things, hot. I have sauces and pepper flakes that will blow off the top of your head. But I love this sauce for it's relative mildness. It is easy to modulate the heat level. Pouring a glob does not mean a 5-alarm fire. But the flavor is outstanding and, if you really want extra heat, just add more sauce. Wonderful in tomato-based sauces or on an Impossible burger.

This hot sauce has the perfect amount of heat, and goes on everything from eggs to Mexican food. Nice balance of acidity and a slight sweetness

Received order 5/17/2023. The bottles had a production date of 9/22/2022 with an expiration date of SEP/2024. So ~8 months old already! Should be of more recent production for long lifespan.

My personal favorite. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars for giftability is because it is a three pack. Now that I think about it, who wouldn’t want more? This is a very flavorful and well balanced hot sauce. It contains that strong habanero flavor but is tolerably hot. They derive sweetness from carrots instead of corn syrup or beet sugar. Great stuff.

I was expecting a little more heat based on the description. When I taste it right out of the bottle it's very good with well-developed flavors but it could stand a little more hotness. So far I've used this hot sauce as an ingredient in other dishes so it's difficult to get the flavor and hotness to come through. Maybe I need to use more. I'm going to start adding it directly to the food right before eating to see if that helps. I know that with many other hot sauces I can taste the flavor of the sauce very easily in everything I put it in. This one not so much. Maybe it's supposed to be that way. I may buy this again but there are so many other hot sauces to try that it may be a while.

Awesome stuff! I put it on everything! Carrot based instead of vinegar. So no heart burn. Try it!
