RainX Fix a Windshield Do it Yourself Windshield Repair Kit, for Chips, Cracks, Bulll's-Eyes and Stars

I’m extremely impressed with the Rain‑X 600001 Windshield Repair Kit. A small rock chip appeared on my windshield and I wanted to fix it quickly before it spread into a full crack. This kit did exactly what it promised. The instructions were easy to follow, and the entire process took less than 30 minutes from start to finish. The resin flowed well into the damaged area, and after curing in sunlight, the chip was barely noticeable unless you know exactly where to look. More importantly, the crack stopped spreading completely, which gave me real peace of mind. I love that this kit is designed for multiple repairs, making it a great value compared to expensive glass shop visits. Everything you need is included, and no special tools or experience are required. For small chips or cracks within the recommended size, this works incredibly well.

The Rain-X Windshield Repair Kit did exactly what I needed it to do for a chip I got in my car windshield, especially considering the timing. I'm happy to report that the kit performed very well in stopping the damage from spreading. Since applying the resin, the chip has remained stable, preventing it from turning into a long, dangerous crack, which is a huge relief and definitely the most important job this kit had. The Reality Check: Now, for expectations: while it stabilized the chip, it's important to understand that the crack is not gone and the spot is not completely invisible. You can still see the repaired area when you look closely. It's not a magic eraser that makes the glass flawless again, but it greatly minimizes the visibility and, crucially, reinforces the area. Summary: If you have a small chip or starburst and your main goal is to prevent it from spreading and turning into an expensive replacement job, this Rain-X kit is a great, reliable, and quick solution. It was a worthwhile investment that saved my windshield from getting worse during the winter. Just remember that it’s a repair, not an un-do button!

This stuff is the bomb!!! Just take your time and go slow as you can, clean the area as soon as you can, and as best as you can, slowly add the resin, put on the curing strips in the within 10 or so minutes it was dry enough to remove the curing strips and scrape off the excess resin. The crack is just barely noticeable in one small area. I highly recommended it. I purchased another one just to have one on hand. It works extremely well, again just take your time. Follow the instructions will be. Glad you bought it!

This works but didnt get the full Crack sealed. I think this is fine as is but depending on your Crack you might be better off getting a tech to work on it. The included accessories are nice but it also seems like a one time use as the sealant doesnt seem to last over a week.

Like I said you might have to use it for times to help but it did stop the spread

Product worked better than the fix that the national company did last time. Completely transparent, easy follow instructions and everything in one package. The resin flowed easily and sealed well to the windshield. The tools provided made sense and worked like the instructions said they would. Next time I will have paper towels closer because the resin did spill a little, but cleanup was easy.

I used the Rain-X 600001 Windshield Repair Kit on a windshield crack, and it worked okay, but it wasn't quite as quick and easy as I expected. I had to repeat the process multiple times before I was satisfied with the results, and the crack was still somewhat visible afterward. In my experience, the resin itself seemed to do most of the work, while the included applicator tool was a bit cumbersome to use. I actually found it easier to focus on getting the resin into the crack than relying on the tool setup. That said, it did help improve the appearance of the damage and may help prevent the crack from spreading further. For small chips and cracks, it's worth trying before paying for a professional repair, just be prepared to spend some extra time and possibly apply it more than once.

I have to say that though this seems like a decent solution for normal pits in a windshield, it didn't help me. The crack in my windshield seems to have been most severe under the surface, perhaps where laminated pieces of glass join. At any rate, despite trying to force the glue into the crack, the appearance of the crack remains unaltered and I don't think the glue made its way into the main portion of the crack. I don't really fault the maker for this, but it's something to be aware of if you have a crack that looks to be mostly sub-surface.

Das Ergebnis war gut. Ich habe die Anweisungen im YouTube-Video befolgt und keine UV-Lampe verwendet. Ich habe tatsächlich nur fünf bis sechs Tropfen benutzt. Hoffentlich brauche ich es später nicht mehr. :)

leggere e seguire alla lettera le istruzioni anche se in inglese ci sono le figure e sono facili da capire ma devi seguire passo passo e devo dire che ho risparmiato un bel po ottenendo lo stesso risultato dei piu illustri riparatori di parabrezza al prezzo di una pizza e birra con tro le 100 e piu euro chieste da altri. che dire soddisfattissimo grazie

I have fixed about 3 X windscreens with this tool kit. I have been able to remove 95-99% of stone chips which have been rather quite large. Used this product which was easy to use and satisfying to see the end results. It's a great feeling when avoiding a massive $$$ replacement bill for a new windscreen
