Great tool
Excellent upholstery tool to lift staples and pull them out with ease.

Works much better than the other 2 tools I tried
The bottom piece that extends beyond the upper piece is thinner that the other Osborne upholstery staple puller that is straight and also can be used to remove tacks. This thin extension allows much better access to get under the staple to get it out. The curve is a better design as it prevent you from stabbing yourself with the tool. The pliers allow you to pull out the staple once you get under it without changing tools. I have not tried it with super heavy staples to see if the tip holds up, but it worked great to remove the hundreds of staples used to cover a bench by put in by someone who really loved using a staple gun!

Works like Crazy! Great (although somewhat ugly) Tool!
I nearly returned this without using it: Big Mistake (almost). Although this staple remover looks like a DIY tool made out of needle-nosed pliers, this practical design has a genuine Osborne pedigree. I decided to try it out, because I didn't want the return hassle. And it's super! I have 70-year-old arthritic hands, and it looks awkward to hold, until I was actually using it to remove tight staples from cardboard (it's designed for staples in upholstery, but big cardboard box staples are usually harder to get out. Fast, and no extra strain on my hands. VERY sturdy construction (I don't think it's pretty, but it will probably outlive me (and my grandfather lived to 98!). If you need this tool, Buy It.

My favorite new tool
I'm an upholsterer. I buy every new handtool that comes along. Because I'm old and need to protect my hands I bought this. It's now my favorite tool. It raises the staple and pulls it out. It took some practice to get comfortable but it had paid off. And it does the work of 2 tools. Get one.

Made a tough job much easier!
Our front screens (facing the bay) were blown out by Hurricane Michael. We are 41 miles East of Mexico Beach, FL but our winds only got to about 70 mph with gust to 90 mph. However only one of our six 5'x10 screen panels survived and the one survivor was badly stretched. Only the larger top panels were damaged but we replaced top and bottom on all 6 panels so the screen material would match. That meant over 200 linear feet stainless steel staples had to be removed first. We used almost 4,000 staples on the repair. We had to remove almost that many original staples. The staple puller pliers made the job much easier, minimized damage to the surround wood frames, held up well, and showed very little sign of use. I highly recommend these pliers for jobs that require a large number of staples to be removed.
