OVENTEKS93B 1.7 Liter BPA Free Stainless Steel Cordless Electric Kettle, Black

A solid stainless steel kettle for a good price. I needed an additional electric kettle for my office, but didn't want to spend a lot on a brushed stainless steel kettle (like the one I have at home), and I'm not crazy about plastic kettles. This does what it's supposed to do--it boils water. And auto-shutoff is important for me, too--I forget about my kettle constantly--so that's a great safety/convenience feature too. I bought this over a year ago, and it's still going strong.

I love a cup of tea, or being able to boil water pretty quickly for other things. So initially, I love this kettle.However, after about 6 months, I've noticed that it's a rusted inside. It doesn't seem unreasonable to me that a product that is supposed to work with WATER should be able to handle that and not rust.

This kettle heats water very quickly. The only downside is that it has developed a very annoying high-pitched noise while it heats up some of the time. It is not the steam whistling through the spout, it seems to be an electrical thing. Our kettle is still very new, so it was disheartening for this development to happen. Oh well, nothing is perfect.

Love tea, but never really got the knack of heating it in the microwave...(usually way too hot). This was the perfect answer. Heats up quickly (for a couple of cups probably 1.5 minutes).

Terribly packaged. Came scratched up out of the box. No bubble wrap or any protective shipping materials. When first used, worked wonderfully at boiling water but smelled like burning metal/plastic the entire time water was boiling. seems like it was refurbished.

Received as a gift. Rusted after 1 year normal usage.

after 4 years the wire burned a hole in the base of the unit and through the plastic base piece lucky it didn't catch on fire...

So much faster than a regular kettle or the microwave. I use it all the time for tea and instant oatmeal. Really happy that I made this purchase!
