ThriftyVac® Mason Jar Vacuum Lids Plus w/o Pump

This is a (non-paid) preliminary review, as I've not had a chance to experiment very much with these lids. I wanted to get this review up asap so others know what to expect. I'm quite happy with the purchase, and will likely buy several more. Materials and craftsmanship look excellent. These look to be exactly what I need for sealing various size glass bowls. PLUS the metal lid will work on a wide mouth Mason jars as well! A big thanks to the seller who responded promptly to my questions, shipped VERY fast and included a free adapter (you must specifically request this) so I could use my FoodSaver vac hose. If you're looking for a vacuum solution for Pyrex bowls... Just buy them! Note: Pyrex bowl pictured is the 4-cup/1-quart size.

I have been using the ThriftyVac with mason jars for years. This is a nice new addition. I am giving them as presents. The shape of mason jars is not for everything, and mason jars are awkward to clean. The lid for bowls is versatile. I can cover leftovers that were cooked in pyrex bowl (Do not put the ThriftyVac in the microwave or oven). It fits over the pots that I use inside my 3qt Instant Pot (Do not use the ThriftyVac in the Instant Pot). I only use the lid for bowls that are going into the refrigerator. I have not tried it in the freezer.
