**Q: Can it slice peaches?**
A: A peach pit is usually wider than the core cutter, so unless it's a type of peach with very small pits (are there any), it wouldn't work.

**Q: How many inches in diameter is the cutting area?**
A: The blade insert measures approx. 3 & 3/4 to just short of 4 inches across.

**Q: I have the slicer, is the base available separately?**
A: make sure it's the same slicer with this many segments and the arrows. I would check the website or email them directly ... lots of times you can get pieces and parts that way.

**Q: Can this slice onions?**
A: It is made for apples. It has a built in core-er. I haven't tried it on an onion. It would make wedge shaped slices and a cylinder if you could do it.
