Zest-tea is a very high quality tea for the tea connoisseur that is only missing caffeine. They use whole tea leaves as a base. This makes a huge difference in the way your tea tastes. Even though it is a black tea base, it is not the astringent low quality that most other brands use. Inexpensive black teas, often found in the opaque small stapled tea bags, are made essentially from shake mechanically processed remnants. These often leave what looks like grounds on the bottom of the packaging and often in your cup as well. It is often used as is it very inexpensive. They have a very drying feel to the tongue and a very strong overpowering flavor. Which can overpower your flavored teas. Most brands use variations of these. Not this company. This brand uses hand-picked Nilgiri whole leaf & Orange Pekoe Flower. Pekoe is often the base for iced tea. So it is a light refreshing amber color when steeped. So, even if you over-steep these bags, it will not taste sour or bitter. They use real oil of bergamont not flavoring of bergamont. You can see the oils crystalized on the tea leaves in their pyramid silk bags. The oils of bergamot have a much more complex and realistic flavor when steeped. So, if you are balking at the price these are the probably the reasons why they are more expensive. Not to mention the caffeine extract they use! Which I can assure you is the same as a cup of coffee. 150mg's of caffeine is in these individual bags. So, they pack quite a punch and help you face the morning! Tea leaves naturally contain L-thenaine which relaxes the mind. Drinking it energizes your body without feeling like your mind is racing. Although this tea, not unlike coffee, can leave your body feeling jittery if you have not eaten. Caffeine is highly water soluble though. So, if you want to reduce the amount of caffeine you can just pour any temperature water over the tea bag, then quickly pour it out before the tea starts to release color. But hey if you are buying this tea then you must want the high voltage caffeine to start your day :) Any tea lovers should definitely try this brand. You will be hooked on the flavor alone and the caffeine will keep you coming back for more.

This tea has around 150 mgs of caffeine per tea bag. I use 2 each morning for one cup of tea. This tea does not give you the crash lots of other caffeine drinks do. The flavor is a lil earthy but tastes fine.

This is a great product. Tastes great. Doesn't make you jittery yet packs a good punch. You won't be disappointed.

This tea is great. Gives me energy and tastes as close to regular tea as I have found. I took off a star because I have ordered twice and both times there is only 14 bags of tea included instead of the 15 advertised. So I am now short 2. Also I don't mind because I have a tea bag squeezer but these do not include a string so just be aware.

This tea touches all the bases - flavor and max caffeine delivery. Since I don't drink coffee, this is my morning starter. While I've tried other Zest products, this one is my favorite, a perfect blend of cinnamon and apple.

This is the go to drink for my Wife every morning. It got her to stop drinking coffee completely.

Here is an honest review! This was the first version zest tea I purchased, and my husband and I loved it. We did notice that a new version was made, and we were not fans of it. The new version lacks flavor, intensity, and it is not strong enough. We compare the ingredients of the first tea we purchased and the new version, and there are differences, so be aware! The old version is so amazing because it’s really strong and fragrant and this one actually gives me a good amount of energy, which I absolutely love and I need. I just hope they do not get rid of this version!
