Technical book, very good for persons with science background.
I'm a biology major and this book was very useful in helping me to get down to the hormone level of how nutrition works! I would not recommend for a not science person though, they wouldn't appreciate the full value of what he's explained. With this new knowledge from this book, I dropped 9 lbs of FAT in 9 weeks and put on 2 lbs of muscle!

Big book in a small package
I was expecting something very simple. An easy how-to.Nope.What I got was an in-depth analysis into the world of hormones. I'm pretty sure everything Ori talks about in here is talked about in laymen in his book The Warrior Diet. But me being a huge nerd, I found this stuff. fascinating. Don't be fooled by its small size, it's a very tough read. I still haven't finished it yet, but I am learning a lot.

Read Warrior Diet First
For those who've read the Warrior Diet and:(i) want to learn more, and in the case of this book a LOT more, about the science behind cycling between periods of over eating and then undereating; and (ii) want to learn how to "tweak" the program set forth in the Warrior Diet to enhance muscle building; then this book is for you.If you're new to Ori's writings/theories on eating, then it will be a difficult read and you may come away from it unclear as to what exactly to do.It's well written and well researched, but it is technical.

UNBELIEVABLE SCIENCE BODYBUILDING
Well it's very detailed and scientifically written. It's a lot to follow and complex. But it's not a title that you get everything on 1st pass. If you're detailed and patient the book is worth your effort and time. The complexity takes time and willingness to learn. Definitely not one that's the path of least resistance. If you are serious about making yourself better and smarter. It takes dedication and effort. SACRIFICE COMES TO MIND. Would recommend this title and get it again. Expect to spend time learning the process. Good luck and stay safe. Wishing you good health and luck. To another day in paradise. Will see you in the next review.

A Must Read
This book is not for the meathead or someone looking for the perfect set and rep combination. If you truly want to know how your body and hormones work behind the scenes and how you can manipulate fasting, fearing and training time to build a better you than read. It is as technical as it is fascinating.

Complicated
-This book is not written for the average caveman. While reading it, and I did read the whole thing, I found myself blah blah blahing in my head until I hit an interesting point or two.-It is a really indepth look at the hypothesis that is featured and simplified in "The Warrior Diet" book. If I was able to skim through this in a book store I more than likely would not have bought it and read it. While I fully recomend the latter I do not recomend "Maximum Muscle: Minimum Fat".

This is a great explanation of how our metabolic and endocrine systems work ...
This is a great explanation of how our metabolic and endocrine systems work together and how the effects of macronutrients on those systems. It flies in the face of the usual fitness and weight loss advice we've all heard and does so with a technical explanation.
