Lamy 2000 silver - elegant fountain pen in a velvety matt polished stainless steel barrel - 14 ct. gold nib, partially platinum-plated - nib size B

If you're looking at this listing, you probably know what makes this pen special. It's all that and a bag of chips. The stainless steel makes it feel nice and heavy, if you're into heavy fountain pens. The nib is smoother than I'd expected, and that's saying something. You may have heard of the narrow "sweet spot" for starting without a skip -- I find that not to be the case with the Broad nib. I had definitely experienced it with a Lamy 2000 Fine nib, but not with this one. This L2k starts without a hitch, even when I don't pay much attention to hitting that sweet spot. The pen writes somewhat broader than regular Lamy broad, and significantly wetter. It's been reviewed by many blogs and YT channels, so I'll skip all that. Bottom line is, I like it more than I thought I would, and thought I'd like it quite a bit. I ended up liking it more. Way more. It's helped me to finally get over the loss of my beloved Rotring 600; so if you like using pens that scream "German engineering," but do so in a kind of subdued manner, this pen might be right for you.

Amazing pen, my second lamy 2000 and I love it even more than the medium. Both wetter and smoother, just wonderful. However I was sad to find that my brand new lamy2k has a very noticeable scratch on it as well as couple other minor ones. The clip is also a little loose. The pen itself deserves 5 stars, but I'm skeptical about whether this pen is actually new.
