Nice and silent, stays cool, and works great with my 6 PoE cameras
This is my first fan-less 8-port PoE network switch and it looks like I'm going to be the first to review it. Yay me! I previously had an 8-port switch that someone had given me but it had a fan and was very noisy so I had swapped it out with a 4-port fan-less switch. I went with the 4-port because I only had two security cameras and figured that'd be plenty for future cameras. Several good Amazon deals later and I found myself with an additional four cameras bringing my total to 6. There was no way I was going back to that noisy 8-port switch so I got this.I've had this switch running for about a week now and it's been working great. Setup was a breeze, just plug in the power then plug in all the ethernet cables. Nothing else to it! There are eight ports for cameras, one for the router, and one port for an NVR. They are all clearly marked so there's no confusion on which is which. They're also all lined up side-by-side as opposed to the two rows stacked on top of each other that some other switches have. I prefer the side-by-side layout as it's easier to insert and remove a cord when there's nothing above or below it.All my PoE cameras have been running off it without issue and video playback is smooth. The casing is all metal with large vent slits in both sides for ventilation which appears to work great as it doesn't get hot at all. There are little LED lights under each port which light up when a cable is plugged in and it detects a connection. You can also see a cool green glow through the ventilation slits. There are no mounting holes on the back but it does come with two metal brackets which attach to either the underside or side of the switch allowing it to be mounted either flat against the wall or in a cabinet rack. There are four non-slip feet included but not installed on the switch so you can decide whether or not you want them on. Clever idea to do it that way as you probably won't want feet if you're mounting it flush on the wall. There are four indentations on the bottom to show where the feet go should you decide to put them on.I hope you found my review helpful, please let me know in the comments if you have any questions or suggestions for improvement. Thanks a bunch!

Not for long term use
Burnt out after 7 months. Great price not a great product. No warranty after 60 days.

Works great at a reasonable price
I have 5 Reolink POE cameras directly hooked up to this and they are working great so far. No lag on the NVR but about a one to two second lag when using Tinycam or Home Assistant. Of course I do not know if that's due to the switch or the cameras themselves, but I suspect it's the cameras. They are definitely not the best and I would not purchase these cameras again, but this review is for the switch so let's get back to it.Compared to other similar products this switch works flawlessly and at a better price point. Comparing this specifically to the Amcrest switch with similar specs it is actually cheaper and even has an extra port. It may not look as nice but who cares, as long as it's getting the job done. There's only one other review so far so there's no way to really judge how long this will last. I will be sure to update this review if anything should happen but so far, so good (fingers crossed).

Price, quality and support
Customer support is excellent. I initially received I think a unit with a bad power supply which I reviewed based on that issue and gave one star. Customer support personnel reached out to me and offered to ship replacement for me to retest at no cost to me.I will update review after I receive the replacement but based on several other reviews, I assume this is a good product. The originally unit feel sturdy other than power issue and the missing mounting metal ears.

Died after 6 Months
Running Cameras in a ventilated over hang. Just died no power and no warranty, or customer service i guess for 40 dollars cant ask for much. Still sucks it didn't last a year. Would look for a bit more expensive with a warranty would be worth it in my opinion second one I have had do this.

Well made, Great Value for POE needs
I primarily purchased this for use with POE cameras which was a better option than running electrical all over the house. Actual metal case, built-in power transformer means no bulky adapters to deal with. I like the idea that it's fan-less and it doesn't get very warm. The first one did arrived DOA but I'm still giving it 5 stars because the company immediately sent me a replacement even before I had a chance to return the other one. That is great customer service and shows they stand behind their products. Great value for the money. If anything changes in the future, I will add to this review but so far, working great. With a usb adapter I'm also able to power my Wyze cameras as well.

Semi-junk! Works for 6 or 7 months then dies
The first one lasted 6 months approximately, so they sent me a replacement under the 1yr warranty. Then this one failed 7 months later. You might think I overloaded them, but no. I only have 3 POE cameras connected, and the power draw is minimal compared to the supposed output on the device. So either 1 of 2 things is happening, (1) these 3 cameras are over-drawing the device which means the manufacturer built this thing super weak or (2) the device is just plain junk and designed to last just long enough for the warranty to expire.I will say though, both devices worked perfectly fine until the day they died. The seller was really good about getting me a replacement and it was overall a positive experience. But I expect electronic equipment like this to last 6-7yrs, not 6-7 months. Worse still, it's bad for the environment because of all the electronic waste it produces.Save yourself some time and money, get a better brand.

Plug it in. Connect the cables. It WORKS
It's great when you get a product that does exactly what it is supposed to do. No Hassle. No unreadable instructions. No Problems. I'm running a bunch of POE IP Cameras to this switch and it works great.
