Good value controller, with the regular budget faults.
Disclaimer: I bought this controller for the shell, but have included both a review of the controller itself over a couple days of use, and my experience in joining the back shell with the front of a Smash 4 controller._____________________________________________________The controller felt fine. I could see it being broken in very, very quickly, but the value is great and I would absolutely recommend it if you have friends over every now and then for more casual games. I used the controller in Smash 4, briefly tried Melee, and some Switch titles such as Wizard of Legend and Crawl.Sticks:• Both the Control Stick and C-Stick have a "textured" feel when moved. Not too bad at all, but noticeable.• Became loose within deadzone range after just ~5 hours of play. Has not noticeably effected gameplay yet, but definitely effects feel. Both of these points are things budget/3rd party GC controllers struggle with, and were expected.Face Buttons:• Somewhat clicky, but I'm ok with them. Kind of feel like a high-resistance membrane keyboard.• D-pad is good, does not feel any different from a normal GC controller aside from more resistance.Shoulder Buttons:• Relatively poor. L and R buttons are wobbly, and similar to the sticks, have a textured feeling when moved. But they function.• Z-button is clicky. Straight-up tactile click (audible as well), with the only push-back being the button itself. For reference, Smash 4 controllers have a piece of metal that push back so there's at least a bit of squish/resistance.Rumble:• Fine, but different than a Nintendo brand GC controller. More details in the following section.Shell:• Also fine, with small differences compared to the Smash 4 GC controller. More details in the following section._____________________________________________________As noted above, I bought this controller for the shell. I was able to get the back of the shell to fit to the front shell of a White Sm4sh controller, but did not bother trying to get all of the Sm4sh controller internals to fit into the entire shell. I believe it's possible, but wasn't worth the effort to me - and I think the White + Dark Clear Purple combo looks better! If you plan to do the same, there are some things you should keep in mind.• The screw holes are in the same spots as on a Sm4sh controller, but the screws themselves are smaller (and phillips). - If using the screws on your Sm4sh controller, you will be re-threading these holes. - The screws from this controller threaded in too loosely to keep the controller joined.• The rumble in this controller is small. Because of this, the plastic bits in the controller supporting the rumble are much larger. - If you plan to (or already have) removed the rumble in your Sm4sh controller, this does not matter. - If you are keeping your rumble (I did), you will have to cut this plastic down. I used a Dremel. If you got a clear shell like I did, be conscious of hitting the sides of the controller as it will pick up scuffs very easily, which are somewhat visible when the controller is assembled.• The Z-button is offset, and a slightly different shape. This effects both the cutout, and the hole that the button's "posts" on the inside slot-in to. - If the controller is facing towards you, the right-side of the hole (furthest from the Start button) is what will need to be adjusted. I used a Dremel for this as well, and the result is a cutout that has space on either side of the Z-button when inserted. I'm not picky though. - On the inside of the controller, there is a hole that posts on the Z-button rest in, next to the screw hole. I got rid of this (again with the Dremel). I kept my Sm4sh controller Z-button, and when the shells are joined, it is now slightly angled very slightly since the Z-button's post is now pressed against the flat of the back shell. Again, not picky, but it did take a little bit to get used to.• Even though there are no plates holding in the shoulder buttons in this controller, there are mounting points for them so you may properly reinstall your Sm4sh controller buttons.• There is a noticeable seam after the shells from either controller are joined, suggesting this controller is either not exactly the same size as a Sm4sh controller, or there is some additional stuff inside preventing the shells from being joined seamlessly. This can easily be felt and seen around where the cord comes out.All in all I made it work and am satisfied with the look considering I only shelled (hah) out $10 for the controller. Despite doing custom paint for others, I like the semi-clear look most and am not too picky when it comes to the feel or details of my own controller's shell. The Z-button bit is unfortunate (still a stickler about button/stick feel!) but it has not effected my gameplay.

Surprisingly good for the price
Look, these are 3rd party controllers, you're not gonna get the quality of a Nintendo licensed product here. That being said, these are pretty dang good controllers. The buttons feel pretty solid, the sticks feel good, and the weight is just fine. The only negatives I can see are that the cords are very short, and the Z button is very clicky and different. Other than that, you get 2 surprisingly good controllers for a very good price, what more could you want?Edit as of 27MAY19I really just came back to say that I am beyond impressed with these controllers. My above statements still stand, but these controllers have lasted longer than any other 3rd party controller that I've ever had. Seriously, They're still going strong. I'm not saying I'm constantly using them and beating the ever living crap out of them, but they have gone through countless very intense smash rounds, and I still have not had any major issues. Seriously, get these controllers. They are absolutely worth the small price.

Both controllers faulty in less than six months
You may be thinking by reading the headline of this review that it's no big deal if something fails on the controller, but it actually is. What failed on both controllers is an analog stick; it's stuck in a single position on each controller (c-stick stuck to the left on one, and regular analog stick stuck on the bottom left on another controller). It makes playing video games impossible. I want my money back. i purchased these controllers thinking that they'd at least hold up for a year. Nope, they're so cheap that they both failed less than six months after purchasing them with little use (I'm guessing < 30 hrs each controller). There's a reason that Nintendo sells gamecube controllers for $30; you need to spend that kind of money to purchase a controller that is far less likely to break; in fact it's likely that those controllers from the original gamecube are still working today (over a decade later). I'm never going to buy cheap controllers again! Buyer beware.

Just as good as the OG
Howdy,These controllers are actually pretty incredible. $20 for two great quality controllers are a steal. The plastics aren’t as sturdy as an original GameCube controller, but that’s to be expected as quality isn’t like it used to be when the GameCube came out.Translucent is incredible, and totally brings be back to the 90’s and 2000’s. Great pieces to have. They rumble, and also function on my Wii properly. Great buy, glad I didn’t buy second hand for way too much!

Great controllers, cords a little short
These controllers work great. We got them to use with our wii. Very comfortable to hold and use. Colors are fun, and they seem to be really good quality. The only downside is the cords. I wish they were a bit longer, but they still work. We just have to put the wii in the floor in front of us rather than leave it on the shelf

almost identical in every way shape or form
only reason for 5 stars is because coming from a long time nintendo guy, it’s obvious this type of controller had many issues but from this brand, it has the same durability and expectations as a Nintendo brand controller. definitely recommend to anybody who wants “as close to the real thing” Nintendo controller.

Awesome Third party Controllers!!! 🤘🏼
Pretty awesome controllers for the price! They definitely feel third party. I was very impressed on how they play and feel. I bought them for the shell because I plan on switching some stuff from it. In the conclusion, the color that I asked for and the feel of the controller... Its an awesome product!

Best of the rest and are compatible with official official nintendo parts.
In most cases you should just buy official controllers, but these seem like pretty good 3rd party controllers. I've slightly modified one of mine with parts from a broken wavebird, replaced the triggers and joysticks, and redid the inside wiring and bad solder joints.Cons>Joysticks drag on plastic when screws are too tightLoosening screws fixes issue>Inside of controller full of greaseHave to assume it's for trigger plugs, but there's little friction to begin with>Stock thumbsticks are sorry compared to officialNot as bad as standalone thumbsticks you can buy>Wiring less than optimalWires stripped further than needed and board soldering looks like crapPros>Buttons feel greatI've used an nintendo's original official controller and wavebird, and neither have tactical feel like these doOverall bretty good and would recommend if you cant find an official controller

Great for it's value
I only got this for the shell and it works alright you need to melt or cut off plastic for an og board to fit in but i like how it came out only wished the plastic was molded to fit an og z button and not a 3rd party one but you get what you paid for.

Overall, a good deal.
These controllers might be cheap - but they actually are pretty well made!I was surprised. I have been burned by cheap controllers on amazon before; so I felt like i was taking a gamble with these when I bought them - but having used them extensively now, I can say with certainty that these controllers are good. They are well made, they feel good - admittedly, I haven't held an "official" nintendo gamecube controller new in some time so it's a little hard to compare them to the "real thing" - but they feel good, the buttons work as you'd expect, they're well built, for the price. I will probably buy another set to have a complete four player smash setup ready to go. So yeah; im no pro, i'm no good at wavedashing or tight execution i just like the game. If your'e some sort of crazy smash enthusiast then hey, maybe you'll notice a difference but I think these are great. My only real complaint is that I wish the cords were a little longer.

SNES classic, NES classic, and GameCube controllers but registers them as pro controllers
I love the fact that it works with gamecube, SNES classic, and NES classic controllers. Works like a charm. But beware it registers your controllers as a pro controllers. So in Smash grab and shield buttons are switched. Because Smash didn't realize it was a GameCube controller but instead as a pro controller per the device. But You can just go into Smash and change the button layout. Easy fix. I really enjoy using it for the NES games with a NES classic controller.

Control Stick Sensitivity Issues
I got four of these for my family to use. They generally work great, but there is one thing that is terrible about them: control stick sensitivity. I'm talking about the grey stick on the left. Playing racing games (mario kart double dash or lotus racing), turning is always over-turn, under-turn pulsations. It's nearly impossible to press the control stick lightly. Super Smash Brothers Melee walk slow: no go. When playing Mario 64 (don't bother asking how I did that), aiming the cannon is impossible. Pressing the control stick a little, nothing happens; a little more, and it goes way too fast.If you don't care about this (playing Mario Party, Zelda, etc.?) it's a great controller. I had one crap out after my wife dropped it so that now the A button requires like 20 pounds of pressure. Even after dismantling and cleaning two or three times, it is exactly the same.I'm not buying one of these to replace the broken one.

Value for money, worked on gamecube games for Wii
Nice gamecube controllers for the price. Work on gamecube games plugged into wii.

Lasted 2 weeks
These things lasted me 2 weeks, first the obvious how hard it was to use them the comfort that you get with a Nintendo GameCube controller is just not there. The joy stick for both controllers tore in less than 2 weeks of me playing Smash Bros with them so that should scream something to the people buying them for this game. I had a Nintendo controller for 3 years that never tore the pad. The C stick actually hurt my fingers and I am a mechanic. I would not recommend these to anyone not even for replacement parts. I thought to myself maybe i could just take them apart and use the parts to fix my Nintendo controller. No sir, the screws are in there so touch you basically have to get a hammer and break into it and it doesn't use a tri wing.
