Kit is fun and easy to put together!
I bought two of these kits to practice soldering. Iโm new to it and really wanted some practice. These kits are perfect! The instructions were clear and it had pictures to show you where each component was to be placed! I like that it did challenge me. Instead of basic small joints I was having to solder lines of points and learn how to change angles and adapt. My only gripe is the display itself. In the picture you can see how it displays 1s. It is 19:50 on the clock. Itโs a small gripe and definitely not worth complaining about.

Nice project, confusing instructions.
Enjoyed teaching youth with this unit. However, for the inexperienced, the instructions are not clear. Terms like โlong pressโ means โhold the buttonโ and โshort pressโ means โpress and release the buttonโ. โPseudo weldingโ means bad soldering. If youโre going to sell in a foreign market, it is helpful to accurately translate assembly instructions. While I figured it out due to my experience, not everyone will and frustration will set in. Both units work fine.

A good simple starter electronics kit.
I bought this two pack so both I and my daughter could solder. The PCB is well marked and should tell you everything you need to know and where all components go. Once we were done both clocks worked as advertised and could be adjusted. The buzzer/piezo speaker is LOUD. I recommend leaving the sticker over it to mute it a bit. It's a nice touch they include a USB power cord because many of these kits don't include any kind of power cord or battery box, and you have to fashion your own. (hint, cutting the end off of a spare USB cord and using the black and red wires inside will give you 5VDC for things that want 5VDC.)

No directions.
I got these for my boys to put together. Weโre doing a unit on electricity. There are no good directions for someone who has never done this before. Thereโs a schematic, which probably helps some people, but not me.

Perfect as a starter for kids...my kids love it and it works like a charm. First I received one with some missing parts, and they exchanged it fairly quickly. Check to make sure everything is there when you get it...
