Sliced potatoes great but I tried to shred an apple and it didn’t work and was a mess

Update- purchased in early 2020, it’s now 2024 and we use this product a lot to shred cheese. It’s really great when you have arthritis. The little knob that holds the blades in place did break off and I need a replacement. I love this thing and really don’t want to replace the entire unit for one tiny part. I did a a star back for longevity. I subtracted 1 star because the piece you use to push products through has nubs that hit the grater and you end up with plastic in your food. The 2nd star is due to the small size of the hole to feed produce/cheese. Everything else I really appreciate, easy to assemble, fast to use, fairly easy to clean. I am happy I bought it and would buy it again. No regrets.

It's now a breeze to slice and dice my veges with this wonderful machine. It assembles and disassembles quick and easy and cleans just as simply. I would give it a five star rating to anyone.

I chop and grate a lot of vegetables. I had imagined shredding some cabbage. Anything I tried to shred got stuck between the clear plastic drum and the metal blade, so it did not function at all. That even happened when I tried to shred some Brussel sprouts. The feeding tube is too small to handle anything other than one carrot, or one cucumber, or one skinny zucchini at a time. Overall, from what I expected, this was a total bust.

J'ai commandé ce produit début novembre 2022 et l'ai offert en cadeau 3 mois plus tard: malheureusement, il était défectueux donc je ne peux pas l'évaluer mais j'ai contacté le service à la clientèle qui m'a remboursé sans problème, malgré le délai.

I have arthritis and I was looking forward to this product. Tried to make coleslaw and it was evident this machine was not up to the challenge. I spent most of my time taking the shredding disc out to empty the STUCK cabbage. I can say that it worked well with Parmesan, but that is all I can say.
