Loved by my daughter AND me because it packs away so easily
I bought this with a little lab coat and vet name tag and my daughter absolutely loves it. The little X-rays and the little dog cone and the dog is adorable. The tools are cute. What I love best is that it folds up nearly flat so that it's easy to take somewhere with her little doctor kit. The bottles and medicines are flat and store in little flaps on the back. The fact that it opens up creates a feeling of being in the doctor's office. It's super cute, extremely well made.

A great toy for any animal lover.
My "future vet" daughter loves this little toy! Comes with lots of little extras to add to the fun. The back board is made from strong material in strong cloth. Plastic dog is made from thick hard plastic and is great quality. "Treats" are made from very thick cardboard that you have to punch out the first time you use it. All doctor toys are good quality and won't fall apart easily. "X-Ray" is cute and works by placing card behind a black and white stripped screen allowing the image to show through. The clear plastic pockets are hard to get some of the signs into, and my daughter (6) tore one of then, but it is still usable. Everything except dog packs into a pouch that attaches to the back of the folded up board for easy storage.

Great toy
I bought this for my niece for Christmas. She got tons of toys at the same time but the one she kept playing with over the next few days was this one. It really spurred her imagination. She liked the hard plastic dog it came with (but every stuffed animal made a visit) and the "table" to put all the animals on. My sister liked that it zipped shut at the end of play with all the pieces inside.

Great product!
Bought this for my 3-yr old who loves dogs. The set is sturdy (fabric covered thick cardboard that doesn't bend easily). I don't think it's cheaply made and would give this as a gift for friends too. The accessories are adorable and the dog is great (he can go in the bathtub too—a plus). All the bandages fit him great and are easily to put on. The ear pieces and diagnosis pieces are cute and there are fake shots that make a pump motion, but don't hurt anyone. My son had hours of fun! There aren't any electronic parts or noisy parts, so it's not annoying. Everything is self contained and is easy to carry (not heavy and remains closed). I am very happy!

I could see this being a good choice for one child to use at home but ...
I bought this as part of a vet/animal hospital setup for my classroom. For the price, I guess I was expecting a bit more and a lot of the "extras" - x rays, forms, signs, food - are paper or cardboard and cheaply made. I could see this being a good choice for one child to use at home but it wasn't a good fit for the classroom. As I was gathering materials, the wheels starting turning and I ended up turning a our puppet theater into the "reception desk" with a keyboard, notepads, clipboards, vet forms I found for free online, and using our shelves, play kitchen, baby care items, blankets, and furniture we already had to create different areas like a waiting room, recovery area, grooming area (in the kitchen sink!), exam table (kitchen stove covered with a blanket), x-ray room, etc. It's my fault for not thinking it through a bit more before purchasing and while we did use the tools in this kit along with the ones we already have so that several children could play at once, the rest didn't get much use at all. If your child already has a doctor kit and some stuffed animals, I think it would about really easy to make something more engaging and realistic for pretty cheap by getting real bandages and other first aid items at the dollar store and using cardboard boxes and other things you have at home.

Great travel toy
My 4 year old love to be a doctor to anything an everything. This was a perfect gift for her. She loves walking her patients through the x-rays. I love that it folds down and plan to take it on our summer road trip vacations since I always need something to keep her busy in the evening at the hotels. It's compact, has room for the accessories, provides lots of entertainment, and it's something fun we can play with her as well which makes it a perfect travel toy.

I original bout this item for my daughter for Christmas who is 6 along with the pretend school. I of course received the school one first and that it would be a prefect gift for my daughter cause she loves to play school and things with her Lps.I received the pretend vet and I was just very disappointed. The dog was deformed and everything was so cheep like. I was shocked cause the pretend school had not at all seemed cheap.so I decided instead of giving this item to my daughter that my 3 yr old neice would enjoy it instead and none of it lasted long.

No Packaging and kinda cheap materials
It $40 for this and everything is cardboard except the tiny stuffed dog stethoscope and a couple bandaids. The pictures make things look bigger. The rest is more about Amazon and not product. Be careful if you are peeing this as a gift. They ship with the original box and mine got ruined. The box is ripped and crushed. I have received an oversized box for something similar.

Learning Resources continue to impress
This is the fourth product from Learning Resources that I own, and against it's top marks from me. The centre piece is without a doubt the cute little dog, which is soft, friendly looking and very well made, with good materials, and around this you have a nice ensemble of things. The whole thing folds away neatly and so can be stored easily and it's easy to set up and get on playing with.

My 5 year old loved this toy
My 5 year old loved this toy. Straight from the packaging, it's quick and easy to set out and begin to play. Everything included, plus a small amount of imagination, is all a young vet will need to to take care of the animals. It's well made, good quality, and should comfortably last for my younger child to take up the veterinary reigns a couple of years down the line.

Broke stethoscope
The stethoscope does not work. There is a place for batteries but no connections for the batteries to work.
