BaBylissPRO Ceramic Tools Spring Curling Iron

After having experienced a very serious hair "incident" on a business trip with a curling iron designed only for U.S. outlets, I was forced to make a quick change. (Side note: ladies, be careful!! a curling iron designed only for 110v usage used in 200v+ countries WILL burn your hair off if you use it with just the adapter and not a transformer too!!! Please don't learn this the hard way like I did!)I bought a transformer to go along with my travel adapter for my next trip and discovered that the 110v curling irons just don't work well with the transformer in place. I don't know why, but for some reason, they just don't seem to heat up. I considered buying a European curling iron just for use in international travel, but when I saw this one, I realized that it was a better solution. I don't need to worry about different curling irons depending on which country I'm going to and don't need to carry around a clunky transformer that will render the tool useless anyhow.Keep in mind, you'll still need a small adapter to use this outside of the US because the plug is intended for American outlets, but you won't need a transformer. This works equally well at home or abroad, so even if you don't have travel plans yet, you can safely buy it without any worry.My only complaint was that there seemed to be a bit of industrial grease (or something from the factory) on the handle when it arrived. I briefly considered returning it, but was able to clean it off. I'm not mentioning this to complain because as you can see from the rating, I love the curling iron. I just am mentioning it in case anyone from the company sees it - I'm sure it was a one-time incident and it came off easily, but was a bit off-putting at first.

I have been looking for a good quality, dual voltage, curling iron for sometime before I purchased the Babyliss Pro Ceramic. Other travel curling irons were either too small or didn't get hot enough. This curling iron is about the same size as my Hot Tools iron and heats up just as nicely.I recently took it on a 10 day trip to the UK and was very pleased with it. It heats up quickly and becomes nice and hot. The coating on the iron grips hair perfectly. I've actually kept using it for my daily use at home after our trip. I have been a loyal Hot Tools user for years, but this curling iron is quickly becoming my new favorite.It converts voltage automatically, you only need to use an adapter to convert the plug, as it's a standard American plug.It is lighter than my hot tools irons and has a long cord, which is great, since most European hotel bathrooms don't have an outlet in them. Overall, I am very happy with this curling iron.

I love this curling iron! My stylist uses this exact curling iron and I asked her what it was so I could get it for myself because it makes my hair look shinier and healthier after using it. And it does not burn my hair and/or leave it smelling burnt!! It is so easy to use and your hair just glides through it without getting caught and breaking/ripping it out like a lot of other curling irons do!! It is the best curling iron I've ever had and yhe best I have ever used!!!

So my hair is extremely oily and i need a haircut desperately but this curling iron still gave me some really nice curls. My hair slides through easily and doesn’t feel like it’s getting too hot or burning like other reviews said. I have this curling iron already in a 1 inch but wanted a bigger barrel for waves. Really like this brand for the price

Bought this as a replacement for identical that got old and chipped. Could not find replacement locally. Like the 8' cord length for how I use it. Heats up nice. Like that it has flashing lights to let you know when it's heated up to temp. I found I need to turn this one up a couple of numbers higher to reach the same temp as the old one. I'll adjust. Like the cool tip to be able to touch while styling. Like the Ceramic wands for slide and heat distribution. My old one said Conair on it. This one says BaByliss. Might be why the minute differences in design.

This product worked great for 3 weeks. I went to curl the first piece of hair this morning, held it for a few seconds and then took it off. My girl looked a little crunchy so I pulled on it and my hair fell out! A huge chunk of hair just broke off and kept falling. I had the heat setting on 25, which is the temp I’ve had it on every time I use it. I have really thick hair so I need the high heat. When I got home from work, I wiped off the curling iron and plugged it in. I came back about 20 minutes later when I knew it would be hot but the red/green light was still flashing and the curling iron wasn’t hot at all! I have plugged it into 3 different outlets in my house and it will not work. I guess it burnt up this morning on my hair 🤷🏻‍♀️

It works like a charm! Yes it gets really hot but that's why there are hair sprays available to protect your hair against the heat. I use it between 17-21 to get nice wavy hair/curls. Be careful when you use it so as not to burn yourself.I love the curls it produces and have gotten compliments each time my hair is curled. If you want to have tighter curls then definitely go for a smaller barrel size such as 1 because I got this one at 1.5

Good heat (I always keep it at the highest setting or one or two notches under), gives nice big curls, and holds well. I bought the 1" as well as this has been a great iron for a good price.

This curling iron is exactly as described and pictured. The size is perfect and the heat good and consistent. A big part of my satisfaction is it being dual voltage for international travel.

1Day to home! amazing! very quick to become hot! looks very good, working good, a little too short. i have lot of hair i have to do it many times so.. thats the only thing i don't like.
