Reliable and Great product
This is a superb product. Solid construction, perfect fit. For my 2011 Chevrolet Suburban 5.3; the installation was simple, quick and neat. I was relieved in discovering the inset for the oem 'barb bracket', (keeps it, as factory, off upper radiator hose), is built in. All the clamps, breather hose, cool stickers, are included. I am a finicky DIY, even so, box to on the road: 40 minutes. Performance? Surprisingly effective. I have been tolerating the minor 'initial acceleration' hesitation since....2011. Gone now completely. Also, much relieved to discover zero change to engine/ interior noise, during normal use. Only when you 'get on it', then I am satisfied with a deep and pleasant tone; and smooth solid acceleration. Airaid has proven that our engines really are a vacuum; get that air straight in and out! I was a hold out until this product became legal in my state. Well worth the wait! Noteworthy: Amazon double boxed the unit. Arrived on time, (as usual), and perfectly intact. I am most sincere in this recommendation.

Cheapest intake, most power, easy install. Buy it.
Love it. Sounds great when you get on the throttle. Improves throttle response, and I'm sure the extra power is there. On an independent dyno test, this thing made 9hp and 8 ft. lbs. of torque. More than any other. I coupled it with a K&N filter in the stock filter box. The improvement is certainly noticeable for sure. This is one of the cheapest intakes you can buy, and makes more power than any others. Install was super easy. Only hard part was removing the breather tube from the valve cover. It isn't just a tube. It has a clip inside that you need to stick a screwdriver in for it to release. Put the screwdriver between the end of the hose and the tube it attaches to. Other than that, I followed another reviewer's install instructions. Wipe down connection points with alcohol to make sure they're not slippery. Attach tight to the throttle body, then the MAF side. Hasn't slipped off or even budged. Great upgrade, highly recommend.

Don't know why I waited so long to buy it...
Do you need it? You probably don't, but you won't regret buying it. Fit almost perfectly on my 2007 Chevy Silverado LT (NBS) 4.8L engine. I already replaced the factory airbox with an Airaid system and installed a Poweraid throttle body spacer. The MIT installs easily and looks much cleaner than the bulky factory system. It installs easily and the only real problem is the radiator hoses don't line up quite right with the hole on the bottom of it. Not a major problem by any means. The MIT installs after the MAF sensor housing so it shouldn't interfere with its operation. Major noticeable differences are a more aggressive roar coming from the intake that's makes buying it worth buying alone. Also, there is a slight increase in power that's most noticeable when you first take off and it only takes the slightest movement of the accelerator to get it going. Things to remember: 1. The computer controls the butterfly in the throttle body, so your intake might be capable of sucking more are, but the computer will only let so much of it into the engine. 2. More airflow means more heat, so your engine will run a bit hotter and your exhaust will be hotter as well. An aftermarket intake is the cheapest way to burn up your O2 sensors. 3. It's pointless to have your engine suck more air if the exhaust system can't expel it fast enough. 4. The slight increase in horsepower will cause your transmission to drop gears at strange times until the computer gets used to a new shifting pattern. 5. If for any reason your engine throws a check engine code, the codes may need to be cleared from the ECM using a Tech II computer that is almost impossible to find outside of a GM service center and they'll charge you just over $100 to do it. That being said, it's not something that absolutely has to be done as the check engine light will clear itself eventually. 6. If you choose to clean your throttle body, you will get a high idle and GM will charge you the same $100+ to hook it up to their Tech II and put it into an idle relearn. Before taking it in and paying them that outrageous amount of money to do something that takes about five minutes, give it time. My truck did an idle relearn on it's own in a matter of a few days, give or take.

This was super easy to install and there are lots of videos around to help you. I noticed an immediate gain in acceleration and pull. It sounds amazing as well, it has a hefty howl and with a few other mods on the truck it’s a great addition…. Despite Amazon telling me it didn’t fit my vehicle I cross-referenced the application on the Airaid website and found it did in fact fit my 2013 Silverado 4.8L.

Amazing change in throttle noise, sounds so different you'd almost think you changed your muffler. Build quality is high, fitment was OK but I think this is slightly too rigid to accommodate for engine movement, and the boots may be pulled on. Great product for retaining a proper OE dry filter and not affecting engine life. Would buy again.

Work well in my 2011 GMC 5.3. Added a little response to the throttle without being as loud as a full on cold air intake. Good compromise. Overall I'm happy with it. Paired with a performance high flow filter I seem to have some power and mileage gains. Only been a week tho so time will tell

This intake tube is one of the better things I’ve purchased in a while . Super easy install. Good instructions. Some great made in the USA 🇺🇸 product ! Didn’t it make the ol 4.8 work some good. First ride I floored that thing and just started laughing , man what a sound . God bless the chev LS platform . 🇺🇸 partnered with a ecu and trans tune this thing really woke up.

Exactly as described/expected. In combination with a K&N filter and Airaid TBS I get slightly better mileage, better throttle response, slightly better low end torque and sounds good. I like that my truck doesn't downshift as early or often on cruise control coming into uphill grades, also seems to hold 4 cylinder mode on my 6.0 L76 V8 a little longer before 8 cylinders kick back in.
