House of Cheviot Glenmore Kilt Socks

Great color for matching difficult red tone. It's not claret, it's not "tartan red". But it does need to be paired with just the right red. IMO, reds and blacks are harder to coordinate than earth tones and greens.

As described, these are comfortable kilt socks. They are a little tight on my calves, but to be fair I have large calves, if this is true for you too, you may wish to consider their Harris Kilt Socks. My only other complaint is I wish they were about 3-4" longer (I am 5'9") so I could fold the top down a wee bit more.

The Bison color is nice, and the foot part of the sock fits nicely. My problem was that the top is a) tight and b) quite thin. Now I am NOT a body-builder, and my calves are much smaller than they were 20 years ago, but I could barely turn the tops down over my kilt flashes, and they had none of the bulk usually associated with a kilt sock. If you have skinny legs, they would be fine, I think - and yes, they're long enough.

These kilt socks are excellent. I had traditionally worn 100% wool kilt socks, but these were incredibly warm and very "scratchy" bordering on uncomfortable. In contrast, the Glenmore socks I received were soft, comfortable, and had the feel of modern hiking socks. I am excited to wear them more.

I purchased these based on reviews and am quite happy with my purchase ! They are nice and soft and are lighter weight so they are not too bulky. I have only worn them once so far but am very happy with the fit . This is a repeat order !

This is the second pair of kilt hose I have purchased from House of Cheviot. I wear a kilt on a regular basis and I have learned that the quality of your accessories can make or break your outfit. House of Cheviot kilt hose fit me perfectly. I stand 6'1" tall and wear size 13 shoes. I order the extra large and they are perfect.

These hose (socks) fit well and are well made. The color is good, they seems fit around my calves well and come all the way to the bottom of my knee before the fold. They stay up well, and the knit isn't too loose as to cause pain on the bottom of my feet from wear. If put these as medium quality hose. I'd like to see them cost less, but who wouldn't. I'd say they are fair to high on the price. You aren't likely to be disappointed in them. I'd also be happier if they were a prime item.
