An important and Valuble Product
I thought this was a great product. It gave me important information and peace of mind regarding my own DNA and genetic make up.

Dissapointing penny pinching spoils the experience, not a good gift
You pay a small fortune for what is in essence a lovely, well engineered, box and a plastic swab, it looks great and fills you with excitement, then you open it and realise they short-changed you for the cost of postage. Literally a small fortune for the box and they make it difficult at the last hurdle. Giving it as a gift ends up making you look a bit tight. They should have gone for better value packaging and putting some of the money into making it the easiest user experience it could be, adding a postage cost hurdle no doubt means many of these given as gifts will end up sat in the bottom of a drawer. Surprised by this penny-pinching decision.

Cost of shipping to Houston plus loads of extra charges for DNA, Family Tree and Health Insights
I am really disappointed with this product. I feel like I have been scammed. On the face of it you are getting a start of the art DNA test with access to cool extra features and benefits. In reality you have to stump up the cost of shipping to Houston. You wait weeks for this to eventually arrive in a country outside the US as it is shipped on. Once it arrives then it takes a while to process. In total it was 2 approximately 2 months of waiting. Now that all my results are in, there are some interesting insights but not worth the cost and hassle. To get maximum benefit you have to pay loads of extra upgrade costs to get dynamic matches and updates to your family tree. You have to pay more to find out if you are at risk from certain illnesses. You have to pay more for additional DNA insights.I hate this kind of business model. I also got a call from a pushy sales person offering to 'help' me he the most from the service. When I explained my frustrations she told me that I was wrong. I then got an email offering a 15% discount, a saving of £48 per year :-)
