Great book for learning to do calligraphy! It includes a variety of different fonts and letterings, easy step by steps, loads and loads of space to practice. Starts off with basic brush strokes, then basic letters, then moves onto fancier letters, joining the letters, practicing words, and adding decoration. Great book for any beginner or just to practice, and it's a great price!

This is my first ever Amazon review and it had to be left for this book. I’ve been doing ‘calligraphy’ for a little while now, sketching with a pencil, and trying with fountain pens every so often and getting disheartened because I never took the time to learn properly. However, I took the plunge and bought this book along with some brush pens and honestly wow. I can’t believe the difference! The book has helped me I learn so many bad habits, and while teaches a certain kind of calligraphy, leaves so much room for your own creativity and to explore your own styles. I cannot express enough how good this book is! (My one bit of feedback would be that a wire bound book may be more useful when it comes to the exercises)

A lovely book, very suitable for someone taking up calligraphy, clear, detailed and encouraging with plenty of practice space. But it is NOT an 'ultimate' guide, as it only uses a limited number of alphabets. I was looking for a compendium of different fonts, and some of the blurb was misleading. But what this book actually sets out to do, it does well.

This looks like a good book to practise calligraphy. Bought it with some pens, too. Good book for beginners.

Clearly explained woth lots of helpful diagrams and practice pages.

It’s a bit expensive for what it is but it is useful as far as tips. Not much room for practice and paper is thin. I would return it but, will the next book be any better, who knows so I will keep it. It’s for an 11 year old so it will do until she learns or needs more.

I love this book. I'm gradually working my way through it, using practice paper I bought, so I can trace over the practice letters provided and continue on the ruled lines, but still pretty much preserve the book. It allows me to also try out my many different new types of pen I have bought! Definitely recommend this book. It explains things very well, not overly technical and also has fun phrases etc to try out as well as just the letters themselves.

It nice to have this book as it helps you to get into the flow of the writing easily

Me encantó, no sabía nada de escribir en cursiva y este libro explica perfectamente a detalle todo, lo mejor es que no necesitas plumas caras o especiales, puedes hacerlo con un lápiz o pluma normal. Trae ejercicios fáciles pero que aprendes mucho, para cuando acabes el libro vas a saber lo básico y más de la caligrafía.
