Great!
I have used this on about 4 apples so far. It is really easy to use and it works fine for me. it is packed in a nice, reuseable storage box with magnetic closure. I was happily surprised by this but very nice. There are a lot of accessories and I don't have a cabinet to put this in so I store it in the box in the pantry. The parts are labelled and that is also helpful in choosing a blade. I have only used the thickest slicing blade so far for Granny Smith apples. This blade spiral slices my apples and takes the core out. The slice is a good size for pies, snacks, and dehydrating. I also used the peeling attachment on the first apple and it worked flawlessly. One continuous peel came off the apple. I just slice a little, momstly peel, from the bottom of the apple to make it flat and easier to engage the spike. Since I get to center the spike attached to the mixer to the center of the apple at the bottom and the core blade at the center of the apple at the top. It cores the apple very cleanly. So far, I have not had any seeds in the processed apple and to not lose a lot of fruit. I did the assembly and operated the unit without reading any instructions initially so it is easy to use. Later, I read the instructions. I was leaving the mixer on stir but instructions indicate to start on stir and then you can go up to speed 4. I have used that also and it processes the apple quite quickly. Cleaning is easy, just a quick rinse and it is done. I had very little juice from my Granny Smith apples. The attachment slices cleanly minimizing squeezing the juice out. The blade stops cutting automatically. This is a worm gear that the blade travels on. When it reaches the end of the screw portion, it simply stops travelling. You don't have to worry about cutting the machine off at the right time. I will use this for other foods eventually. For now, I can spiral slice my apples, then make one cut down one side and I have a plate of apple slices to snack on. Great!

Works
I used this to go through a bushel of apples to make some holiday pies and treats. It's absolutely worth it. It also spiralizes for zoodles, but I'll focus on apples as an example. Pros: You can peel and core apples probably 3x as fast. So if you were taking an hour to cut apples for pies, you can easily cut that down to 20 minutes. Spend that time with your family or baking, not peeling apples. So the peeler basically pays for itself giving you back your time. Peels and cores and spiralizes. I used the attachment so the whole apple turns into one spiral. Just quickly use one or two passes with a knife to turn that stack into half-moons or quarters (or smaller if required), and it's ready to go directly into your baking. So easy. Cons: Doesn't auto-start very well. There are some tricks you need to know. Like you have to jam the apple on pretty hard directly through the core, or else the apple may spin without "starting" and this can harm the unit. I also almost always had to push the peeler gently to start it. There is a safety lever for this. But it's not "idiot-proof". It requires a little finesse and you'll mess up one or two apples as you figure it out. Overall: Massive time saver. If you only go to the apple farm once a year for one bushel of apples, the unit still pays for itself in saved time. Add all the other possibilities to that, from potatoes gratin to zucchini spiral noodles (zoodles), and it's totally worth the investment for any home cook.

Amazing KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment!
The KitchenAid Fruit and Vegetable Spiralizer Attachment has been a game-changer in my kitchen! It’s easy to attach to my KitchenAid stand mixer, and the process of spiralizing fruits and vegetables is almost effortless. I’ve used it for everything from zucchini noodles to curly fries, and it delivers consistent results every time. The multiple blade options are fantastic for creating different styles, and cleaning the attachment is surprisingly simple. It’s also sturdy and feels like it will last a long time. If you enjoy adding creative, healthy options to your meals, this spiralizer is worth every penny. It’s made meal prep fun and efficient, and I can’t imagine going back to manual spiralizers after using this! Highly recommend for anyone with a KitchenAid mixer.

Great peeler, a little dificult to hook to mixer hub
I think it is going to work out very well. I need practice. Instructions are sparse in the booklet, guess more are online, but I was in the middle of an apple cake and it was 8:30 pm. I put a medium spiral blade and a peeling blade on at the same time and it immediately got stuck, and stalled. User error. I took off the spiral, and just peeled, and it stuck in the same place. Seems I made a little divot where it was getting stuck, and I then took off the apple and smoothed off that place with a knife and all went well. Then I put the spiral blade back on, and it cut nicely. My intention was a finished product of finely chopped apples, so I used the spiral and chopped them in pieces. Nice! But, after a few apples the whole unit dropped of the mixer. I did have a hard time getting it attached to begin with. Back to the drawing board next time to make sure I have it attached better. Then I cut the finger on my right hand removing the apple. So, take care when you pull the apple off of the spikes not to jam your hand into the corer part of the machine on the right. Of course, I was working in the evening, tired, and with a migraine, which makes me especially clumsy. I am going to love it. I don't know if I am going to do the spiral and peeling at the same time, couldn't figure out if they separate when coming out, or land in the same bowl. Wash up was a breeze. I did cheat and run the middle of the base under water being careful not to get water into either end. And it comes in a very nice storage box. Nothing gets lost.

works great
I just bought this to use to peel the apples we got this fall for apple butter and apple sauce. It is really easy to assemble and use. I had to watch a youtube video because the instruction manual doesn't really have assemble instructions or specific info about each piece. Everything is pretty sturdy except the little piece that attaches to core the apples. The base of it is plastic and it doesn't appear to be very sturdy. The peeling blade is very sharp and peels a very thin layer. However, you have to trim a piece from the top and bottom of the apples to make them flat so the apple presses against the corer and the slicing blade. Therefore, it causes a bit of waste for each apple. I was ok with that because I had bushels of apples to peel and I wasn't too concerned about the waste. Also, we used the waste for jelly. Other than some waste and a somewhat cheap coring piece, this is a great investment if you have a lot of apples to peel and slice. The rest of the pieces are very well made and they are very easy to clean. It was very easy to put all of the pieces together and get going with the peeling and slicing. I have not used the spiralizing blades, but I anticipate they will also work well.

Another great attachment for my Pro 6
I have wanted the KitchenAid Spiralizer Plus attachment for a while, but I already had a spiralizer... I have this thing about kitchen appliances and table top "devices"...I hate too many, because they clutter a kitchen and counter space. I usually only have 3 on the counters at all times, and that's including my coffee station, my KA Pro 6 Stand Mixer and a small convection oven...my most used. Other small appliances are stored away until needed. I'm also going through throwing away all plastic in the kitchen and replacing with more sustainable materials. Finally, my spiralizer took a dive to the garbage. I was getting tired of having to dig it out, set it up and then get to spiralizing. Too many pieces, blades got stuck, I hated the suction cup feet and it was 80% plastic. I found myself using a small hand held spiralizer more often. So, I wasn't spiralizing as often as I had anticipated. Yesterday, I used the KitchenAid Spiralizer attachment for the first time (just received it a couple days ago)...so simple and easy to set up! I Love KA Attachments. I only needed to connect 2 pieces into the main attached unit...the spiral attachment desired and the piece for holding the fruit/veggie securely. It was too simple. The instructions were simple to follow, and it includes a guide for each attachment blade, type of veggie/fruit and speed to use. My KA Pro 6 (15 years old) handles KA attachments with ease and this Spiralizer Plus attachment was no exception. My "Kitchen Magician" (Pro 6 adopted name) doesn't even get warm, the organic zucchini and squash sliced quickly with ease and all uniform in thickness. Even with cutting my zucchini and squash in half, the "veggie noodles" were super long...longer than premade spaghetti noodles. All Parts are so easy to clean (pre and post use), and the included box (sturdy cardboard with magnetic close and foam dividers) is sturdy enough and houses each piece conveniently. I'll eventually just put these in a drawer for even more ease of use (like I do with all my other KA attachments), but the "box" will last a few years. I love that the majority of this attachment is all metal. The large main piece is solid with only enough strong plastic/nylon for inserting/attaching the blades, and the blade attachments just have enough for snapping into place. It's simple and made well for it's purpose. I will definitely enjoy using this even daily...very convenient and easy to use. I haven't attempted using harder vegetation like "beets" even with my junky table top spiralizer. I can't wait to test this KA attachment out further. It's built sturdy, and I believe it will handle well...just need to follow the suggested blades and stand mixer speeds, in the included guide. As a caution to anyone using their KA Stand Mixer for use with attachments, ALWAYS feel the top of the machine...if it gets warm, stop and let it rest...then finish. It is very rare for my Pro 6 to get slightly warm with using any attachment, but machines outside of the professional line will warm up quicker. I definitely recommend, but I generally recommend KA attachments to those with pro line/professional series; which are built to be work horses in the kitchen...the motor is important; especially if you'll be using attachments and your mixer often; like I do.

I would give this as many stars as I could!!
We seriously love this spiralizer attachment for our KitchenAid!! It could be used for a lot of things, but we use it mainly for apples. Instead of the attach to the counter and hand crank apple peeler, corer, slicers, this connects into your KitchenAid and goes so fast!! We make and can apples each year and this makes 20lbs of apples go so fast compared to using a hand crank or peeling, coring, and slicing them by hand. This is a life and time saver!! Love this so much and it is so easy to use!! It comes with 4 different spiralizing sizes/options. I love it and would give it 10/5 stars if I could. Also be careful, all of the attachments are sharp- I have cut myself a few times... The box it comes in is also great. It has a magnetic flap and works great for storage!

Thoroughly Delighted!
This is a sensational attachment for the Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. I received this today, and first, the box is designed to be the storage case. It holds all of the blades and parts as well as a holder for the directions and booklet. The box even has a magnetic closure and as well as being "plasticized" to hold up well. Good thinking, Kitchenaid! As soon as it arrived from Amazon, I opened it up to give it a test drive. It took nearly no time at all to attach it to my mixer (and by the way, any Kitchenaid attachment will work with ANY Kitchenaid stand mixer as they haven't changed that design since 1919!). I wanted to make think sweet potato slices to oven fry for dinner, and it worked perfectly! One thing I noticed is that if the sweet potato has a tough skin as most do, it may not peel that well as the skin can tend to hold up against the peeler, but white potatoes and other things like apples will peel beautifully. I don't mind the skin on the sweet potatoes, so that was fine. Next, I used the peeler only with an apple, and it very quickly peeled the entire apple. I then used a blade and made wonderful slices. I could have done both steps at once, but I was experimenting. :) Finally, I popped in a zucchini and instantly made zucchini noodles that looked just like spaghetti. Just perfect! It's always such a great feeling when something works exactly like you hope it will, and I can't recommend this attachment highly enough. This is replacing the annoying plastic spiralizer I had which was always such a pain to use and clean. Not the Kitchenaid, however--this was so simple to use and so simple to clean. I think this is perfect for any kitchen enthusiast.

Very nice
Let's face it, nobody needs a £150 spiralizer - so when I saw this on sale for less than half that I leaped at it. If you just want to TRY a spiralizer than I recommend buying a £15 plastic one to start with. However, if you have a Kitchenaid stand mixer and you know that you will use a spiralizer a lot this is the way to go. It is well thought out, easy to clean, and it comes in a decent storage box - albeit a cardboard one. With KitchenAid products, it is not a given that the design will be good. Their mixers are great, but some of the other (matching) products we have bought have fallen short in their design. This was not one of them

like red and green peppers
Works perfectly, as advertised. My only quibble that I should have done my homework about is that the vegetables to be worked on have to be 5 inches or less in length. So, you have to cut long vegetables in half. You have to make sure to firmly press the round end of the cutting blade into the center of the vegetable or fruit to be cut or spiralized in order for it to spin evenly. Certain vegetables that aren't firm enough, like red and green peppers, that are flimsy aren't that successful at being cut I've found. Otherwise have had great success with a number of vegetables. The peeler doesn't work great on uneven vegetables. It works much better on very even fruits and even shaped vegetables however. It makes quick work of peeling quite a few apples quickly, then replacing the peeler with the cutter blade to make long circles of apples for pie or crisps. Am very glad I bought it. The zucchini "zoodles" are a great way to get the kids to eat more veggies in a fun way.
