Case is definitely "rugged" with a metal clip on the front. I have had many cases before and always run into the problem with the belt clip detaching from the case itself so this was a plus! The velcro is very strong and actually requires some force to open it which is also a great thing! You no longer have to worry about your phone falling out of the case. Best of all is that I bought it for my Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, which is a very large phone, and was concerned about the phone fitting properly with a case I purchased online. It fits with a bit of room to spare!The only downside is the actual size of the case. It is a VERY large case. I'm a big guy so it doesn't matter much, but if you're shorter and more slim than I, it may seem like a bulk of a load to carry on your belt.

I'm a Carpenter and use it every day at work for my note 5.Fits the note 5 with the Otter Box Defender, fine.Never had a problem with it holding up in hard construction work setting.Only Con: the velcro wears out too fast and the flap becomes just a flap after a short period.

I use this case with a Lumia 950 XL, with a cover on the phone. It fits great with this pouch

Fits my Samsung Note 3 with the Otterbox Defender case perfectly. I tried using the belt clip but I found that the case is so big because it needs to have the phone fit in it that when I would sit down it would come off my belt because of my leg/hip pressing on it. Worse when driving for awhile so I slide my belt through the belt loop instead. All is good that way.Update 5/26/15Well I have had the case for 4 months today. I do not use the metal clip but slide my belt through the belt loop to keep it from coming off of my side when I sit down. Well the stiches on the top of the belt loop just all broke and the phone and case fell to the floor. This case ans the fact I have an Otterbox case on my phone protected it. Guess I will try to put a few stiches of my own in it and try that.

Longest lasting phone case I've ever owned.Very roomy and durable. If I ever need another phone case I want to get another one of these.

While I like the the metal clip, because I take them off and use the belt loop, the Velcro only works for a short time.If they had these with the magnet closure they would be perfect, It works every time and you don't have any noise.I would not recommend this product.
