I've been a huge Tea Party fan for a very long time. This fairly short CD with a seemingly random selection of tracks from this band. The River, Temptation, Sister Awake are obvious choices but their catalog is so very deep, quality-wise, that it seems to me that someone not familiar with the band made the selections. A decent introduction to the band for someone who's never heard them... just ok. The music, however, is brilliant and astonishing. I'd suggest Transmissions as a better choice for casual fans and newcomers.

Even though, the selection of the Icon - Best Of CD might seem a bit weird for the fans of the Canadian music geniuses, The Tea Party, the CD is a great collective item for the fans and a nice opportunity to get familiar with the brilliant band for those music lovers out there that haven't had a chance to listen to The Tea Party yet. The classics are here (The River, Temptation, Psychopomp, The Messenger), the world music meets rock is here (The Bazaar) and the real rock beauties, too (Writing's on The Wall, Lullaby), so everything The Tea Party of famous for.I highly recommend it :)

I'm a huge Tea Party fan and this album is a stellar example of how incredible these musicians are.

Definitely is a good cd, could of added a few different tracks though.
