I looked at a lot of different dish drainers and customer reviews. I measured the area of my counter top that I was willing to use for a dish rack and realized that I needed a smaller one. Also I considered which layout of drainer would work best for me and whether the utensil basket was movable. Then I ruled out undesired materials; I knew I didn't want plastic because they get mold easily. I chose this rack and it is perfect, very versatile. It is not too small, it has expandable sides. I pulled out one side and put the utensil basket on the outside of the rack, works great. It is a good height, holds a good amt of dishes. The design is well thought out and it holds the dishes in nicely but gives plenty of air drying space. I have read other customer's reviews that say it has not rusted even after a few years. It is a very nice quality and I am very happy with this choice. I would recommend it to others and would definitely purchase again!

Good thing its expandable to fit over my sink because it wont drop down to fit in. Seems like this should not be a problem but this is the 3rd style I tried and none of them will fit down in my sink and I have just the regular side x side style. For this reason I give it 4 stars. What happened to the normal dishpan. I dont mind this style although it will take some getting used to. Quality seems good , I like the extra utensil container that comes with it.

Every time I go to Walmart, Ross, Target... the usual stores with home goods, I'm searching for a dish drying rack that's small enough to fit into the sink, is stainless steel AND has a silverware holder that's NOT plastic! Have you ever seen the gunk on the bottom of the plastic silverware holders? I have no idea why they become so disgusting as I wash everything thoroughly...who knows, maybe it's just dust, but I refuse to buy anything plastic again. When I say "smart", I'm referring to the great features, first, the metal silverware holder and second, it can sit in the sink or you can use the extender and sit it across the top of the sink, which I did. I felt like a kid when I got it and put it across the sink using the extender... I was so happy! It sits very firmly, no shifting around. I had a box full of kitchen items to unpack, clean and put away...that's what you see in the photo. Wow! It holds a lot! I have nothing to complain about. It feels well made, the metal isn't flimsy...and the silverware holder is so easy to rinse off. You'll love it!! : )

Like the idea it will not rust. Ordered b/c the size in the description would have fit my sink but it's actually larger than the description. It's actually 12 3/4" x 16" and will not fit inside my sink .
