Dogs LOVE being brushed with this!
12.12.23 Update: I'm still LOVING this brush. Well worth the money! It's been used almost every day for nearly 7 years. The bristles are still straight and the ends nicely rounded so they don't poke/prick. The grip is remains smooth and comfortable. It does an excellent job of getting to the base of the hair so, in the Poodle, it pulls through the curls and removes fur that would otherwise cause matting. In the case of the double coated Lab, it easily gets down to the undercoat, removing any loose fur reducing the amount that sheds to the floor. The only time I don't use it on the Lab is when he's blowing his coat and I use a deshedding rake to maximize hair removal- it's not that this brush wouldn't continue to do an excellent job, it's just more efficient to use a rake during that time given the volume of hair shedding. ----------------------------------------- Original Review: We've got a double coated Lab and a toy poodle. Both dogs love being brushed with this brush. So many wire brushes have really pointy ends that can feel like a needle stick if you're not careful. Not this brush. The ends are smooth and the wires thick enough that it reaches the undercoat without sticking or scratching. While this isn't the cheapest brush, it is well worth the money. It's well made, well designed and, importantly, the dogs don't run when they see it!

best brush EVER!
My goldendoodle is almost 7. I have been in search of the perfect grooming tool for her from the first day she joined us at age 8 weeks. The breeder recommended a Les Pooches brush which she just hated. She avoided this slicker brush with a passion. Then I discovered Christensen brushes when she was 6. The first one I bought was a C Christensen Mark Curved Back slicker. The difference between the CC slicker and the $75 Les Pooches was remarkable. She actually would stand on the grooming table and let me brush her legs for the first time ever. Then I ordered the T brush which is truly a miracle. I ordered a 16 mm and by accident, received the 27 mm. My dogs coat is 3-4 inches so the longer pin brush is actually better for her than what I ordered. Now that she is 100% mat free, the t brush keeps her coat just perfectly fluffed and looking her best. This t brush would NOT work on a matted coat. I have found that brushing her every 3 days (now that she is mat free) with the T brush, she can always have a mat free coat. Definitely worth every penny. I only wish I had learned about the Chris Christensen brushes 7 years ago and could have saved her the agony of the other slicker. I am a groomer at the largest dog shelter in Denver and been grooming dogs for 15 years so I have had experience with every grooming tool in our arsenal. This one is the best!!

Great for first brush through
My dog is a Great Pyrenees. Our past 2 groomers have quit grooming large dogs because of repetitive stress injuries so rather than find a new groomer I decided to start doing it myself. He has a very 'cotton candy' type undercoat - very fine and easily tangled. He has never liked brushing. If I use this with a detangling spray or gel, it lets me get the first pass done very quickly and easily. The brush glides through, picks up a lot of the loose undercoat and straightens out a lot of tangles to follow up with an undercoat rake and then a slicker to get the rest of it. I have tried several different brushes, and this one is great.nSo glad I bought it.

Great Brush
This is the only brush that my sensitive dog doesn't run from that also gets out the shedding fur.

Best Brush EVER
This brush is AMAZING! I have a golden doodle and I prefer to keep his fur at a longer length. However, his fur is so thick that he tangles and matts up very easily. He hated his last few brushes and dreaded grooming time. With this brush grooming is a breeze! I have been using this brush for a few months and dog and I are extremely pleased with the brush! We both love that the bristles are rounded and do not have the little plastic beads at the top. It prevents the brush from scratching his skin and is much more comfortable for him. The metal bristles are thicker than a normal slicker brush. This is great because the bristles do not bend while going through tough knots. The bristles glide through tangles which cuts down brushing time in half! The handle is a bit thin and can be a little uncomfortable at times but feels extremely sturdy! I can see this brush lasting for a long time. I will be purchasing more Chris Christensen brushes!

My dog loves this brush and so do I!
I have a very fussy long-haired German shepherd. He has always HATED being brushed, regardless of what type of brush I used. This was recommended to me on a German shepherd FB group. At first I balked at the $30 price tag. That's a lot to spend on something that's not returnable, and truthfully, I wasn't convinced it would work. My dog not only tolerates this brush, he LOVES being groomed with it. it does a great job on his long feathers, snags and snarls, and yet is extremely gentle. It seems well made, like it will last for a very long time, and I love the way in feels in my hand. I consider it one of the best $30 I've ever spent...

I have a young Australian labradoodle with a thick coat. I've used slicker brushes before but find that they make his fur weirdly fluffy. This has solid pins which are spaced further apart and glide through his coat. Given the chance its also a popular chew toy!

It came so much faster than expected! Works great, easier than a typical brush, the handle is nice. I own a soft coated wheaten, it's perfect!

The brush arrived with Tines missing. It had taken so long to arrive that we didn't have time to return it. :0(
