Safco Products 3671MH Low Profile Desk Top Organizer, 58"W, Mahogany

I spent a lot of time looking for a low-profile desk organizer when I got my new desk. Although this piece is more expensive than it needs to be, I have to say that I'm very glad I bought it. It's a quality, substantial piece of furniture that adds a lot of extra space to my new desk. My husband put it together, a task that took him about 30 minutes. It's heavy; he had me help him lift it into place so we could figure out where to put the dividers, and then again once they were in. I'm very happy with this desk organizer and highly recommend it. This is next to impossible to put together. NOTHING is labeled and as soon as you screw something in the wood begins to chip. I can not put this together because I've already stripped two of the cams and cannot get them back out. I think I have to send this back. It is also way too pricey for the quality of what you're getting. You could get an entire desk for the price of this. I am very disappointed and frustrated.

For MDF with a photographic finish this unit seems overpriced. One corner chipped during the assembly process. It does look nice when assembled, but there is quality contrast to the wood desk where it sits. My principal complaint is the instructions are unduly difficult to follow. First they are not to scale. The component pieces are not labeled. That seems pretty obvious, but when you are trying to assemble things it would be nice if there were removable up arrows, top, shelf and other labels. The most trying piece was the side piece for the small shelves. I wanted to assemble it to go on the right end. The picture is for the left end. This piece flips over, depending on which end is chosen. I thought the dowels would be sufficient, but there is a cam at the rear. A reminder for this cam would have gone a long way. This unit is too heavy to keep turning things around, so labels would save a lot of frustration and time. It is fine for a home office, but not something you would use in an executive office with real wood furnishings where the public would notice the contrast.

The quality is verygood and takes about 1 hour to put together while following the directions. It really helps me organize my desK .

This was a very nice addition of my office. It is made solid and honestly I have no complaints​.

My husband read the reviews so he was aware of the difficulties some experienced with assembly (parts not being labeled was the biggest complaint; since he was aware of this beforehand, he had little difficulty putting it together. This is a great desktop organizer and has helped me tremendously with sorting the clutter. It is also an attractive addition to my office. Highly recommend!
