Love the attention to detail by Tamiya. True to scale. These are not 'entry level' models, but not so difficult that the fun of assembly is lost. You pay more for quality.

Good little kit represents the year and model pretty close ...
Good little kit represents the year and model pretty close and fit is good. Very little flash and no sink marks in the finish areas. Don't care for the imitation chrome but a little oven clearer and alclad paint cured that issue. Would buy again and do some scratch building to make a nicer kit.

ビートルを創った人々の想いもほのかに伝わります。
ユニークなデザインのビートルを作り進めていく中で意外と難しく感じる所、ありました。テールライトは小さなクリア部品。その中でボディ色とテールライト色に塗り分けが必要です。ナンバープレートや計器類にデカールは付属していないので自分で描く必要があります。 ナンバープレートの方は置いてあった別のキットのデカールで代用しました。老眼持ちに細かい塗装は厳しいので。 完成したビートル、眺めていると開発者の超真面目な気質や質実剛健さを感じ取ることができます。タミヤの実車さながらの再現力も同時に感じることもできました。製作楽しかったです。タミヤさんありがとうございました。

Complicated Product
Well...I can't say this complicated product was my expectation....all I wanted was a model for my previous 1971 white beetle.. and perhaps that was my motivation to finish assembly...because certainly u will need a motivation to finish.
