American Crafts 48-Piece Colored Pencil Set

Wow I am confused by these reviews! I guess I have been really lucky. These certainly are not Prismacolors but I didn't expect those. I found these much better than Prang or Crayola. I use them in a classroom so I haven't noticed if the colors are duplicate or not. But both times I've bought them they've sharpened well and held up to preschoolers using them!

By far the most terrible colored pencils I have ever used. They do not blend well at all. They are very waxy so when you do blend it gets shiny and clumpy. You have to do many layers of color because if you use any pressure the tip breaks, and where you colored has blotches you cannot blend out. This is not 48 different colors either, some colors you get two or the of. So disappointed in this.

Great pencils

Not 48 different colors. Got several of the same colors, they color very light.

I wish I could give these 0 stars! I ordered them through Amazon, they came in, and I've been mad ever since ! These are not the most expensive crayons, but they're also not as cheap as Crayola, which by the way would be a FAR better choice.They have much fewer than 48 colors - there are duplicates, triplicates, and even one or two 4-of-a-kind that are the SAME color.The leads suck, and break constantly when sharpening.But my BIGGEST complaint is that they use extremely crappy wood. When I sharpened these, it was like a game - will it get sharp ? Or will the lead or wood break before I sharpen it enough? And I don't mean little bits of wood problems, I mean like cracking halfway up the pencil crayon and taking huge chunks out. Absolutely ridiculous.

Bought these at Tuesday morning for $8.99. Worst pencils ever. You would do better using flower pedals and hope. Waste of money. Zero stars.
