Q: Is this like paint or does it soak in like a proper dye?

Yes It soaks n like proper dye. I’ve used it on my leather sofa and works a treat

Q: Do you think it would dye leather with a iridescent finish

I have dye 2 pair of good quality leather boots with this dye and neither have an iridescent finish. I can only say what it has done to my leather boots. What I can say is it’s a good dye, covered really well and gave a deep penetration to the leather.

Q: Using the navy blue dye onto a red pair of shoes - dreadful . Has turned out purple and blotchy . Useless .

Did you use the primer first? I dyed new cream leather shoes black, and it worked fine. Took quite a few layers but did the job.

Q: Is this available in white?

Yes, look at the colour chart, plus it states you can paint white over black. I would prepare the shoes first, clean/brush them, then use the primer for better adhesion
