Genuine brass brushes, not brass coated steel. Removes rust and grime without scratching metal surfaces at all.

I bought these as I did not want to scratch the metal that I needed to remove some rust pitting. They are well-made, and the brass is relatively soft, so is great for metals. You do not want a lot of deep, grooves and scratches. However, they were not quite sturdy enough for what I needed so I had to order some stainless steel ones, but these will be great when used on aluminum or other soft metals. A very excellent set of brushes.

The brushes are brass...nice and soft and can be used for hot plating. The bristles seem to be well embedded. I used a hand held rechargeable drill and a propane torch to plate some mild steel. The plating went smoothly although I did have to go over the steel a couple of times to get a decent layer of brass.

These are too soft to take off rust in much of a hurry. Also, had thought they were hex end when I ordered, my mistake, but I do have standard drill they work in.

I was very happy with these, especially for the price. They are indeed solid brass unlike a lot of the ones you see, which are actually brass-coated steel. I used these on both steel and aluminum small engine parts, and they did not damage them. They also did a pretty good job of removing old grime and so forth. They even sort of polished the metal to an extent on their own, which surprised me. They didn't do much with the paint, unfortunately, but some aircraft stripper helped me out with that. I really liked the different sizes and shapes, although the wheels seem to work better than the cups. I did get some pieces of brass wire coming off after a while, but it's not like they were falling apart. I must have used them for an hour or two pretty consistently, switching between them, and they are still in good enough shape to use again for sure. They did spread out after that much use, but I think that's to be expected. Anyway, these are a good option at a very reasonable price, especially because they are solid brass.

Sanding disc are great 👍 easily removes rust and dirt from metal. Functionality is good 👍 durable.been using disc for a long time. Just found this brand and hope that they work out well.

I thought I had ruined a stainless steel skillet by scorching popcorn on it. It wasn't a piece of cake, but I was able to rescue it with these brushes. Since brass is softer than steel, they don't scratch. If they leave behind a residue, wipe with vinegar. They are a bit cheaply made, but I didn't have any specific problems in the short time I used them. They were certainly cheaper than a replacement skillet, so worth the money for me even if I never use them again (which seems likely). It's worth a reminder that the bristles are brass, but the shaft etc. could scratch.

These do indeed seem to be actual soft brass, rather than brass-coated steel, which is exactly what I was looking for. I’ve only used one of the larger wheels so far, but it’s holding up fine cleaning up some galvanized parts without removing the galvanization itself.

Pleased with items that were in the box. However, the bag was open (the seal had not sealed properly) when delivered and the box inside the bag was also open with the wire brushes out the the box but in the bag. When reviewing the contents of the bag/box the smallest of the brushes was not there (It had clearly fallen out in transit somewhere). I need to use these items this Thursday and Friday so don't have time to return/replace them. Really disappointed as I'm going to need that small brush but I guess I will have to use a small manual brush that I already own now.

J'ai testé avec un aimant les fils de la brosse pour m'assurer qu'il était 100% en laiton et non en fils de fer enduit de laiton et le fils n'est aucunement aimanté. Donc il semble 100% en laiton (brass) comme je le souhaitais.
