I also bought little pads locks for these, and I actually use these little treasure boxes to take to the casino. I lock it up and leave the key at home. When I win, I put half in the locked box, and play the other half. It helps me not to spend all my money at once. I never leave empty handed. I take a different empty box each time and when I get them all filled, I have a small savings. IT WORKS! Fits it your purse well, it’s very compact.

This product is worth the money. A few of the chests had little wood fuzz that needed to be removed, but it was perfect for the birthday craft I had planned. The 8 year old girls who came to my daughters “Ocean theme” party LOVED these. I put a little mermaid bracelet in each one and they decorated the wood chest with paint pens, glued on shells and stuck on gem stickers. They were a big hit!

I am using these for a pirate themed escape room, and for the price, it’s hard to find this many small, lockable boxes. They are definitely, definitely not sturdy. They wouldn’t take any real abuse. They’re made of very light, soft wood. But as long as you handle them carefully, they should serve you well. They’d be fine for elementary age kids to paint or decorate. And they have a slit in the top so that they can act as a coin bank.

Boxes are nice. Clasps are extremely small so make sure you use a small lock with these. Won't work with a standard bike lock for example.

Sturdy treasure chest boxes. Nice they had a coin slot. Used for an end of kindergarten project for my kinders! They loved painting and decorating these boxes. Then I added some plastic coins and jewels- perfect gift!

For the price and size, these boxes are a great value. Since they are small, the hardware is too, hence the sturdiness may be less than desired for young children who may tend to drop or bang toys around.
