I bought this with a view to making them kind of custom. You can get the wood with them, I didn’t want to. I slotted in two sizes of dowling and then covered them with nylon clothes line. Every time I walk by, it makes me happy. I’ve wanted for so long to ditch my metal hanging rack! This is my new favourite thing in my house and works fantastic in my back porch.

Its a clothes airer, what else can one say, it does what it is meant to do, it works.

Smooth action and easy to install above the stairs in our house. Dries the clothes really well. You need to purchase the wood though.

I bought some dowels from lowes to turn this into a nice looking rack equal to the more expensive english style racks. I spraypainted it black to match my decor, but it's made out of solid metal. I also replaced the pulleys as they were a little chintzy and were powdercoated so thickly that i had to hit it with a hammer to expose the threads. I'm still giving it 5 stars as everything else was very nice and I was able to get exactly what I wanted for far less than $120, which is what the others cost, before shipping from the UK.
