I bought this lantern torch, when I got fed up with yet another power cut in our Balkans-level electricity supply. Fumbling for a candle in the pitch dark, while pushing over the piles of junk in the garage, was getting boring.That is when I found this superb camping light on Amazon. With one button (by successive presses of a well-positioned button), you can select two strength-levels of torch function (white light pointing ahead), two stength-levels of vertical lantern function (when you can hang it up like a lamp or place it on a table), one pretty bright continuous red light function - also for hanging up or for placing on a surface, and one flashing red light function (for hanging up or placing on a surface, as well) - the next press of the same button switches it off.In my experience, it holds the charge very well. It is charged via a standard USB connection (no USB cable provided with it - you have to get your own).The only thing I miss about it is that there is no indicator on it to show when it is fully charged, but the average person can "feel" how long it needs to be charged, depending on how long you have used it.Its brightest torch function is so powerful that maybe it could be used to light up attacking enemy airplanes at night (I am exaggerating slightly, but you get what I mean). It lit up my whole (true: not massive) garden at night.Buy this, and you can keep reading and sipping your tea even when the power supply is cut. I don't do camping, but it is blatantly suitable for that too.

Read previous reviews & decided to buy for use in my shed & loft. I'm really impressed with the amount of light it gives out.The different functions could be very useful. I like being able to use it as a torch if needed. It's really compact & lightweight so very portable. I would say it's ideal for camping/caravanning. Also good to keep in the car for emergencies. I'm even thinking that I can hang in my garden to finish off what I'm doing when it gets dark.It comes with a clip to hang it as a lantern so you can just put hooks wherever you're likely to need it. Being so light a cup hook screwed into wood would be sufficient.I haven't tested the battery life yet but that would be dependant on what function is being used.Overall I think it's a really good buy for the price. Similar lanterns are much more expensive.

I use this for fishing and camping, really bright light with different modes. Have to say the fact its also a charge pack if another brilliant feature

Bought for a small festival as my (very old) version of the same needed 4 D cells (!!) to sort it. This was basically almost as cheap as 4 Duracell batteries and much lighter and infinitely more useful :)

So far so good. Only used it for a couple of trips out campervanning. Lasted the hols with it being used as a lantern for between 2-4 hrs a night for 5 nights

Easy to use. Can be used in tents and other locations such as while walking. Used the red light for disco.

Multi purpose torch will come in very handy

Really pleased with this product.Really compact for camping trips, gives out great light and battery life is excellent.Would recommend.
