I would love more pockets
Ordered both a XL and L, both fit the individuals as expected. We tried them out in 50 degrees F as our outer layer yesterday and they functioned as expected. The bottom using just a pull string is probably sufficient, but it would probably be 5 stars if it had something such as Velcro to hold it more snug easier. I would love more pockets, but I knew what I was getting when I ordered these and I'm sure we will enjoy them going forward.Update 6/6/2017 : After using the waistline drawstring about 5 times it broke on mine. Definitely disappointed, the rest of it is holding up so far. My wife and I used them quite a bit on colder sailing 50s and 60s days out sailing. She said it would have been a miserable week on the boat without these and I agree. I just wish mine held up better. I was using two hands, and trying to properly use the draw string, but it is plastic and seems like it can't handle the pressure of being properly snug. She never tried tightening hers snug so she hasn't run into this issue with hers.

Excellent cool weather jacket
I got this water proof jacket for paddling my kayak in cooler weather. I am 5' 11'' tall, 190 pounds,42' chest with some what long arms and fall between a large and extra large size on the chart. Because I plan to wear warm clothing under the jacket I chose the extra large size and found it to be a good fit. The large size would probably have been to small. It is well designed, well made and waterproof but of course allows little to no air circulation. I took it for a test paddle yesterday, 57 degrees F. and sunny. I wore a T shirt and sweat shirt under it and found it kind of warm inside. If it had been cloudy or a few degrees cooler it would have probably been more comfortable. The jacket is still large enough that I could have used a fleece jacket instead of the sweat shirt for colder weather. The jacket kept me dry, warm and was comfortable to paddle in and does exactly what I got it for.

Rubberized Inside Wwindbreaker Makes for a Sweatbox
I worked in rubber clothing for my job of many years. The inside of this jacket is coated with a rubber type material. It doesn't breath well and you end up feeling like you're in a sweat box and may as well have just gotten wet without it. A couple upsides are it's lightweight and will function as a mediocre windbreaker.

Very happy with this jacket for kayaking and sailing!
My daughter loved this jacket for sailing. Fit perfectly and it allowed us to be able to find her in a crowd of kids sailing on the lake, thanks to the bright color. We were very happy with this product. (You can also wear a fleece underneath and you will stay dry while kayaking or sailing, as long as you don't fully submerge your body.) My daughter combined this with a farmer john style wetsuit, gloves and rain pants and it made for a very cozy outfit while sailing and kayaking on cold Washington days in the rain. I highly recommend this one!

Pencilnecks only need apply... ;-)
Well made, good price point. But since when does an XXL sized ANYthing have a 16.5 inch neck? That's a medium or a large sized neck hole in a tee-shirt. This is a common problem with a couple of paddle tops I've tried so I'm not really butthurt; smiling as I type. I returned it and was credited immediately, great service from this company...so if you've got a 17 inch neck it might be worth a try for you. Like I said, it appears to be well made, especially at this price point.

perfect fit
i returned this, so real performance is unknown. It is a nice thick, very waterproof material, fit is consistent, strong, secure cuff closures at neck and wrists, and cord cinch at waist. My son quit his sailing team, so he never used it, but i am sure it would have performed well if he had.

Great jacket, the clasp not so much.
I wore this jacket first time today. It's just what I needed. I'm an older whitewater kayaker who's paddling a lot of flat water these days. I needed something to keep the wind and spray off me, now that it's getting cool, not something watertight. The jacket worked great. It fits well. It's is easy to get on and off. Fits well and isn't constricting. I tightened the cuffs up nice and snug, there was minimal leakage but I'm don't plan on having to roll. I like the color, nice and bright. The only problem is that the clasp on the shock cord at the waist broke the second time I tightened it up. It is a fairly important part. It still works but won't for long. Great jacket except for that.

Exactly as advertised.
This paddling jacket is exactly as advertised. The jacket is a medium weight material with robust velcro and latex closures at the neck and wrists. There is nothing breathable about this jacket but it is absolutely waterproof. I find that the quarter zip allows it to breathe enough so that I don't sweat inside. Not a jacket you're going to want to ball up and throw in a dry bag, it's little too bulky. I was using the NRS endurance before I bought this jacket and was very disappointed with the waterproofing. I still use it as a backup in the dry bag but the Windrider is my go-to cold weather jacket. No Frills, short money and does the job.
