47° North Single Source Canadian Organic Maple Syrup, Grade A 500ml (500ml, Very Dark)

This maple syrup is very dark grade, which means it was harvested later, therefore, has more flavour and less sugar. This type of grade is used for the flavour in baking, not generally for on pancakes(though you can if you like less sweetness). As a Canadian, i can absolutely say this product is beautifully flavoured, and makes a perfect addition to cakes, cookies, even oatmeal(porridge). Bought this for my Brit hubby, as he loves maple syrup, and explained the differences in the grades. He loves this, as well as the other syrups i have bought him in the past. I mix this with his porridge in the morning(milk and syrup mixed, then add oats and microwave. Brings out the flavour wonderfully). As far as the price goes, when you consider the process it takes to create this product, the price is fantastic value. It isn`t "blended" to make it cheaper, and it isn`t an easy process to undertake. It is actually quite a good price for the product you get. If you want the sweet taste of the cheap syrups, then just stick with the sugar/glucose made cheap variety and leave the real maple syrups to those who appreciate the process.

This may cost a bit more than I would spend on maple syrup normally but I am so glad I splurged. The taste is like being back in Canada. Sometimes it’s worth paying a bit extra for a great quality maple syrup. The dark syrup is definitely worth every drop.

Good

The flavor is so nice and not too sweet. It has just the right sweetness. Its not too thick and not too thin in consistency. Perfect on pancakes and other bakes. I cannot get enough of it. I have tried all other maple syrups and this is by far the best! Will definitely keep buying this.

This maple syrup is excellent - BUT, it's not for everyone... It's dark, with a delicious burnt sugar/caramel taste. It's not for those that like typical, light syrups - but if you like your sweet darker, richer and more complex, this is the one.

Excellent taste

Flavour is subjective, but for me this was bordering on being bitter, not the usual sweet maple flavour I love so much. I’ll be using it in cooking, rather than drizzling it over pancakes/ice cream/yoghurt.

As much as I like this maple syrup, it is slightly overpriced in my opinion. I think a 15% reduction in price would make it great value as well as great quality. Also a 1 litre option would be great and some sort of pouring nossle would be useful. The maple syrup itself is amazing!

Dark full of flavor The best I have found so far ... : )) The ants are prepared to die for it keep the top tight to keep the pesky little critters from drowning in the container..

Très très surprise de la qualité du produit très satisfaite, très bon goût assez prononcé je vous recommande a 100% j'ai testé plusieurs marque mais celui là est meilleur

Strepitoso

Jarabe de color oscuro, con sabor fuerte. Particularmente bueno para recetas que lleven jarabe de arce como ingrediente.

Très bon au goût, mais la quantité pour m'en prix ne donne pas envie d'en racheter.
