Seams to be working, hard to tell because the fan grinds the insects up. But there is debris in the bag each time I check it.

Literally sitting next to a CO2 mosquito catcher, which has a low catch rate to begin with, but the mosquitos prefer to fly into the CO2 trap and this thing hasn't caught anything after 6 weeks.Maybe it is helping them come to the CO2 trap? Has a UV LED in it, so it gets 2 stars for looking better than the CO2 trap, wish it worked.

What? You've read the reviews on other products but don't believe them? You too are so desperate for a product that rids your backyard of the mosquitos that make outdoor enjoyment almost impossible that you are willing to believe in this product? Go ahead, try it for yourself if you don't need that $100 in your pocket. If you need to rid your backyard of moths and other non-irritating insects then this is the product for you!

Big bug year for the rural north woods. Aggressive mosquitoes due to heavy rains. I did a lot of research and purchased this, the higher end models were not available and the Frontgate.com unit. Not many mosquitoes were trapped so I am ordering the odor strips. Suggest you do the same right up front. The frontgate unit caught a wide variety of flying criters but not all of them were interested in taking a bite of humans. I am going to use the odor strips with both units.Also there are a number of chemicals that are not unsafe to humans that I found on the wicki site. They are Altosid and Zenivex. Tracking those down as well now. They disrupt the life cycle and are not restricted. Think I have found a distributor who will sell to homeowner. Many will not even though these are not restricted products.The manufactures fact sheets show they have a short life 1-3 months and are not toxic other animals including humans.

We used this all last winter and we could definitely tell the difference on our patio. It may not get all of the no-see-ums and mosquitoes, but there was a big difference. When we hooked up the machine upon our return this fall, it would not start. I wrote the customer service department of the manufacturer and they shipped a brand new unit. Great to see someone really stand behind their warranty.

Bought one 3 years ago and found it to be very effective in the relatively small enclosed area around my pool. It doesn't use CO2 which was important to me. It stopped working after 3 years so bought a new one. Tried the new one using the old power supply and figured out the power supply was dead. Both the new one and the old one work with the new power supply. Haven't decided if I want to get a second power supply and have two traps running or just keep the old trap as a spare.

I was very skeptical when my husband convinced me of this purchase. So, needless to say, I was SHOCKED when it actually worked! If you need something to catch mosquitoes in small quarters, this is the purchase you need to make.
