Sometimes we read books to realize what we hate about book series...
Don't read this book. The first two in the series were really promising, and I was excited to see where Alyson Noel would take the storyline. (I really liked her immortals series before this.) I love the idea of a YA book on shamans. (Spoiler Alert) But, Phyre got away 3 times in less than 100 pages!! The taunting language and mind games also got ridiculously old after awhile. Especially irritating: darkness is a part of human nature - Daire shouldn't be having a heart attack that Dace now isn't "pure". Revel in it! It's called life! I'm knit picking now, but I'm a very spiritual person and I'm extremely annoyed that Noel used tourmaline as a stone that emits evil energy when tourmaline is a protective and healing stone. This poorly-thought-out storyline was drawn out way too long; it should have ended with the second book.

Enchanting
Loved this book, loved this series. I found it "enchanting", If you'll pardon the pun. I like the classic battle of good vs evil and how each character struggled in their own way. Great character development too!

The enchanting continues...
I can't wait to get started on the final book of the series. With the twists in the end of mystic, I am anxious to see where this new life, path, destiny may lead.

Must read
It's been awhile since I finished the series, but it was definitely one of the few series I've read that I couldn't put down. As soon as I finished the first book I went online and bought my first digital book, book 2 in the series, because I couldn't wait to go into a library or book store during business hours. The third book was the same. VERY good series :).

Best Yet
Definitely the best book yet in the series. It was fast paced and had your attention from the get go. There are ups and downs and nail biters and everything in between. And of course the biggest hook is the end, because it leaves you breathless. Great read and recommend to all interested in myth and mystery.

Part of a series
Haven't read the whole series yet but I have enjoyed it so far. Characters are interesting and you care what happens. It isn't' a stand alone book and you really need to get all three books.

Book Review
Alyson did it again, just when I was beginning to like someone she kills them off *I'm talking about Phyre here*A lot of things happen in Mystic, Daire and Dace find out that when Dace went after the dark soul it meant that his and Cade's soul are now linked and to kill one means killing the other so Daire cannot kill her boyfriends evil twin without also killing her boyfriend.Dace's ex girlfriend Phyre and her crazy preacher father return to Enchantment to stop 'The end of the world'.At the start of the book Daire is trapped in the Upper world with Dace's guide Axel who saved her until she manages to escape and Dace is lost in the lower world and the preacher finds him stranded and leaves him their to die until Daire saves him. When Daire finds him Dace believes that they are both dead.On Daire's search she takes her best friends Lita and Xolich to the enchanted spring's so that she can see if Xolich can sense anything because she has fantastic six sense with her being blind she can sense things a lot better than anyone else and after leaving the enchanted spring's Xolich ends up being able to see.Cade gives Lita a tourmaline crystal which ends up being given to Paloma who aling with Xolich senses that it is a bad stone but Paloma keeps it so she can do tests on it and she ends up dying because if it.In the end Lita, Daire and Xolich save the world from ending no matter how much Cade tried he didn't manage to succeed and Cade almost's dies until his brother Dace saves him but the Rabbit Hole club burns down.

The Soul Seekers: Mystic
Warning Potential Book 2 (Echo) Spoilers:Mystic picks up straight where Echo left off after the shock death of Daire and her ascension into the upperworld with her mysterious savior Axel. Daire is trying to heal but also desperate to get back to the middleworld to let everyone know that she is actually alive and see if Dace and her grandmother are okay but it seems like Axel is keeping her prisoner without saying so much. Daire manages to escape and travel back to the middleworld only to find that at the same time she 'died', Dace went missing and so now must try to locate him and well as try to restore balance to the middleworld and of course continue with the plan to kill Cade however there is a new twist in events when it turns out that she must actually protect Cade in order to protect Dace which won't be easy with Dace's mad ex-girlfriend obviously plotting something sinister herself.A good third installment in the series and looking forward to reading the fourth although still a bit confused about Axel's whole purpose in the story although no doubt this will come to light soon. Not as gripped this time around as the last book but still an excellent read.1. The Soul Seekers: Fated 2. The Soul Seekers: Echo 3. Mystic4. Great Third book!
Mystic is a great third book in the soul seekers series. I cannot wait to read Horizon as Mystic's ending left me wanting more. It was so unexpected and had me on the edge of my sofa until I finished the last page. Daire and Dace's relationship expands and we witness the results from Echo's occurrences. I did not know where Mystic was going as we know after reading Echo that one or both of them may not be whole again... I was not expecting the plot to be as amazing as it is, Noel has done another excellent job and I am now left waiting for the fourth book to see what will happen next. I recommend this book to Soul Seeker fans and fans of the mystical realm and beliefs and spiritual beings. As well as those who love a great story that will make you forget your own worries as you are witnessing the life of Daire Santos.
