Victor Snake-A-Way Outdoor Snake Repellent Granules for Yard, 10 lb Bag

Let me say first, I HATE SNAKES OF ANY KIND. After distributing "Snake-A-Way" around the exterior of my home and realizing it had a repelling oder, I ordered a larger package. The more the better as far as far as I am concerned. I have not seen a snake since taking this action.

Snakes definitely keep away from the smell. They do not like it at all, just have to keep reapplying. After it rains.

It's copperhead season here in East Texas and a juvenile one bit my dog Charlie. We couldn't find it in the yard but new it was still around. So I ordered the 10lb bag of snake-a-way next day delivery. I put it in a hand held spreader and started spreading it along the perimeter of the backyard fence line. When I spread it near a bottlebrush bush all of a sudden the copperhead darted out from underneath. It didn't want anything to do with me or the repellent! I don't blame it, that stuff is mothballs on steroids X 10. +4 star for offending snakes, -1 for the odor that lays heavy in the air that offends my wife.

Okay. Use this product today. Sing 2 black rat snakes. All right, pretty much not afraid of me because they see me all the time, but my chickens do not like them. So I sprinkled this in the area that I don't want them crossing well needless to say, they crossed right on over. Help yourself to a couple of eggs and went back across. So I thought, well maybe I did not put enough of the snake repellent down so I put it down pretty heavy couple of days later. Here's my 2 snakes again. Eat eggs, they really don't bother me. I just don't like them eating the eggs. So if you have a poisonous snake do not use this product cause it won't scare him away

The first bag I received had a very strong smell, which I assume is what makes it repel the snakes, and that it is supposed to have that very strong mothball smell. I just opened my second bag and it does not smell at all, which leaves me having concerns about its efficacy. I called the 1 800 number and customer service told me that it should be fine and not to worry, just use it as directed and if it doesn't work, they'll send me a new bag. I'm not pleased with that answer Because if it doesn't work, that means one of my children or animals was bit by a rattlesnake And a replacement bag isn't gonna fix that issue. We live much too far from medical resources for us to have something that might not work.

We live in the Sonoran Desert in Arizona. This stuff keeps the snakes away. Started using Snake-A-Way about every 4 months I sprinkle a line of this around my back yard fence. The snakes won't cross the line -- or even get near the smell. Haven't seen a snake here since I started using it. The smell is there, smells like moth balls. Lots better than a rattlesnake(s).

Bought this when I first saw a few copper heads in my yard between the house and garage. I have two dogs and do not want them to get bit by one of these guys. I sprinkled this around the fenced area and have not seen the snakes since. I put this down every year to ensure the snakes do not come back. Has strong odor but it works amazing. I also put a barrier around the house as well to keep them away.
