Can you play this game alone or do you have to have friends playing with you?

It's an MMORPG, the only way to play is Online with everyone else. You can travel the world and play the game solo if you choose to do so, but there's certain things in the game that require you to be in a group with other players.

Do you need the disc in the ps4 to play?

Yes, Unless you buy the digital download.

I have been playing the regular edition for awhile now. If I get this imperial edition, will I have to sacrifice my already created characters?

No you will not. You can create multiple characters but if you're at your limit then you will have to delete one if you want to create an Imperial to play with. Otherwise same exact game, just comes with some DLC and collectible content.

I would like to know if any of the digital content be available from ordering this item. Such as the rings of mara and other content?

Yes, everything that is listed in the description comes with the Imperial editions of this game.
