Z8.3 EPT

The first chain fitted to my bike lasted over 2000 miles riding trails, unfortunately the second chain did not last as long only managed about 450 mile on muddy trails before I broke it when I came off my bike after hitting a patch of ice. I was going to repair it but according to my chain wear gauge it was already worn out due to muddy trail riding and probably poor maintenance on my part. As the chain was not really at fault bought another one which seems to be performing OK, but I am cleaning and lubricating the chain more thoroughly.

Chain needs 2 parts for the missing/quick link (pictured), mine only came with 1. The box was sealed, so check carefully that you have all the parts needed. Chain works fine once you have all the parts, but if you’re missing the quick link you’re stuck.

This is not the Z8.3 EPT chain that the title/pictures/description may suggest, this is the non EPT version which will be far more susceptible to rust and will require a sooner replacement/cleaned more often
