I've had this mug for almost a year, and I use it a few times a week. This mug holds a LARGE coffee, I don't know exactly how many ounces but it seems to hold more than most. The top of the mug can be screwed on when the mug is filled fairly close to the rim, so overfilling is easily avoided. The mug never leaks. It can be inverted, shaken and carried upside-down without leaking a drop. The click button on the top of the mug acts like a ball-point pen click mechanism, opening and closing the mug on successive clicks. When the push button is in the closed position, the mug is air-tight and will not leak. I don't wash the mug in the dishwasher, which I suspect is detrimental to the seals. The primary silicone rubber o-ring seal, plainly visible on the bottom of the mug's screw-top, has no visible signs of wear after a year. The o-ring still has a flexible rubbery feel and shows no sign of becoming brittle. The mug's heat retention is very impressive, keeping coffee hot for hours. I haven't used it with cold beverages. The mug's screw-top houses the sealing mechanism through which liquid flows when the seal is in the open position. The inside of the mug top cannot really be thoroughly cleaned; I normally just flush hot water through the mug top to clean it. A red ring is plainly visible when the click button is in the open position. This mug is very convenient because it does not have to be carried upright once it's filled. As long as the click button is in the closed position, even after you start drinking from it, the mug will not leak on its side or inverted. The mug uses a high-quality stainless steel as there are absolutely no pits or stains in it after about a year's use.

Holds a good amount of coffee to last me all morning and stays hot/warm. The lid could be a little shorter but needed to accomodate the clicker button that seals in the coffee. Instructions say, to prevent dripping, let coffee drip back in for a few seconds before closing/sealing the cup but be careful because a few drops will still leak out. If your hands are full with other stuff, don't carry this under your arm with your white dress shirt on. Once those couple of drops come out though, it does seal well. I can't do that with any of my other coffee mugs. It feels very sturdy and of good quality.Updating review 12-25-2009. Although it took a long time for me to notice, I finally see what people are talking about when they say that this mug is impossible to completely clean. I drank coffee in it daily for months and never noticed any gunk accumulating. It seemed to stay clean after hand washing. However, when I started drinking hot chocolate and other milk and corn starch based mexican hot drinks, things changed quickly. It was really gross when i started having little chunks of brown stuff falling out from the lid and accumulating around the stopper in the lid. I washed and washed the lid but couldn't get all of the gunk out. I tried submerging the lid in boiling water but that trapped water in the lid forever. I've left it out to dry, shook the lid like crazy but the water that snuck inside just will not come out and I still see gunk trapped inside the lid. So, needless to say, I can no longer drink out of this mug. I can't stop thinking of the old gunk trapped inside. This is a major failure with this mug. I wish they would have made the lid in a way that you could take it apart completely to clean. I will no longer be using this mug and will replace with another that unfortunately does not seal as well as this one did.

This is by far the best mug you will buy. Here are the things I like:Keeps liquid not for hours - I pour my coffee at home at 7am, and start drinking it at work when I arrive at 7:45 and it is just as hot as when I poured it.Can sip your drink - the design of the spout is such that you can tip it and fill it up with a little liquid and actually sip the drink so you don't burn your tongue. There are many mugs out there that where you almost have to suck the coffee out, no such issues here.No handle - This may be a drawback for some, but for me, I love it, as the mug fits in almost any cup holder in your car. Even fits in the cup holders they added to the shopping carts at the supermarket!No spill - And when I say, no spill, this thing is vacuum tight. I don't use a stirrer to mix my sugar and cream in the coffee. I just close the top and shake away. Never had an issue.Durability - This thing is indestructible. I can't count the times I've dropped this and sent it flying across the concrete. Never any issues. I had my original one for over two years.Cleaning - Old version used to be terrible to clean. You'd find yourself with some chunk of crud that got lodged in the top. However the new version lets you remove the "plunger" and can really get inside to clean the top. As for the inside of the mug, that can also get stained but use the same product that you use to clean a peculator and it takes the stains right out (I use a product called "Dip It")Hope this helps, but it you really can't go wrong with this cup.

Second one I've owned. Was really impressed with my first one. The mug design is a few years old now, which arguably is evident in the overall level of insulation. I have a couple other travel mugs that are superior in this regard. However, button mechanism is tidy functionally and I trust the leak proof aspect enough to have it in my laptop bag. Solid mug that will keep your liquids hot for the commute into work and then some.

Ich pendle täglich 1,5 Stunden zwischen Büro und Wohnort.Mein 1. Versuch war ein Becher (war mal ein Werbegeschenk) mit Schiebe-Verschluss - das Ergebnis: jeden Tag "landunter" in meiner Tasche.Der 2. Versuch war schon durchdachter:Ein absolut dichter Becher - allerdings musste er komplett geöffnet werden und man hatte keine Hand mehr frei. Trotzdem war ich damit zufrieden.Bis man mir den LiquiSeal Reisebecher OxO schenkte:Dieser Thermobecher ist genau das, was ich schon so lange suchte:- absolut dicht- praktisch zu handhaben- gut durchdachtEr ist zwar etwas teurer als manch andere Becher - aber absolut jeden Cent wert!Ich bin begeistert und fahre nie mehr ohne ;)Nachtrag:Nach nur knapp 1 Jahr schmeckte der Kaffee "eigenartig".Der grund offenbarte sich mir, als der Deckel auseinanderbrach:Im Deckelinneren befand sich - man muss es so sagen - eine Art "Schlammschicht" aus Kaffee + Milch, die sich bei der täglichen Reinigung nicht entfernen ließ, da man den Deckel nicht auseinander nehmen kann, ohne ihn zu zerstören. Ein ganz klares Minus!Seit ca. 1 Woche suche ich jetzt nach einer gängigen Alternative ...
