I used this for a non-typical purpose. I brought it in to teach cub scouts safe pocket knife skills. (The "Whittling Chip".) Each brick breaks into 3 sections. I gave each scout a section and a plastic knife. I taught them different cuts and safety and they proceeded to practice on the florist foam. Once everyone was trained and demonstrating the skills they moved on to wood and real knives. It was a good practice tool. There was enough left over to pass on to other dens so they could practice and learn too ...PS - makes a huuuuuuge mess, but uber fun!
